Joey Barton had a 4 hour podcast with that tit James English. It was literally him talking for four hours non stop, I listened to it the same way I would Le Tissier and all, because it's absolutely fascinating to me hearing these narcissistic nutters drone on, the delusion, the lies they tell themselves.

Four hours flew by.

I just watched the joey barton one on piers morgan.

His arguments are lame and dont make much sense. He has a issue that women havent played mens football but then did motson ? And he was one of the best pundits ever. I think his view its more frustration to the left wing/woke culture.

I love how ignorant fools like Barton use the term woke as if it is a cuss on those he is describing when it is actually a compliment.

No worries. 😁

We agree and disagree on subjects we all grown ups and can have civilised debates not take it personally

On this subject, i think his tweet was ridiculous. There are equally poor male and female pundits. I get more frustrated that carney a ex bloser seems to covee most our sky games. Its not she is a woman but being a bloser. It would be same of it was clinton morrison.

Im sure blose wouldnt want their games covered by aluko or lee hendrie for example.

I think bartons killed his career after this tweet

Morrison always seems pretty complimentary about Villa...

...then again, he's pretty complimentary about every team in various facets.  But still....

One thing i always see- id whenever a debate comes up about female pundits alex scott is always the first name mentioned. Sue smith rarely gets mentioned and i think she is a fantastic pundit. Arguably the best out there at the moment

I'd say that's because Sue Smith ain't flaunting herself about in the public eye like Alex Scott.

The other 2 who seem to get fired up at the drop of hat is Sanderson & Aluko. Sanderson especially has a lot to say on matters she's not directly involved with.

In this instance, Barton is in the wrong. I agree in some aspects of what he is alluding to but keep that to yourself. But then, Barton seems to like to cause a stir by doing and saying stupid things, again, like Scott, in a somewhat desperate bid to remain in the spotlight and be relevant.

He’s just playing up to this ‘King of Twitter’ character that he’s assigned himself.  The whole straight shooter, tell it like it is bullshit

Now he’s no longer managing he can be unmuzzled again so he’s going hell for leather to conjure this social media image for himself.

He just a shitty little scally rat though in reality.

i agree with you however i think the trap that many of us fall into (myself included) is starting to compare the various pundits. start reeling off names like alex scott, karen carney and put them up against the likes of danny mills and michael owen. the females i just mentioned are regarded by most as being superior to the males i just mentioned. problem is that you open such a debate that people then start bringing up people like shearer, neville and carragher who many would describe as the better pundits out there who all happen to be male

but that's not the issue here. it's the sweeping generalisation from barton and keegan that women are not qualified to opine on the mens game. THATS the issue and it's totally absurd. dan bardell for example among others with similar backgrounds to him regularly appear on skysports now who to my knowledge have never played any form of professional football. so why does the same logic not apply to them? by logic of the aforementioned mysogynists those individuals are even LESS qualified to talk football for a living. so why are barton and keegan not moaning about them instead? i could even point to people like souness who last kicked a football over 30 years ago...i'd argue that the game now is so different to the one back then that it's almost a different sport. certainly levels above the game he played.

my point being, the level you've played at has zero bearing on your ability to read the game and judge team/player performances and there's no argument anyone can give me that would make me think otherwise
