MakemineVanilla
An interesting battle between Arsenal and Newcastle. Both teams play at a tempo which allows them time in the ball, which allows for a lot of precision in their play. The spacing on the pitch for both teams was excellent. Some neat passing from Arsenal and brilliant defending by Newcastle, but no real opportunities or glaring misses for either side.

fightoffyour Posted January 3, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted January 3, 2023 Not sure I particularly want that to be a penalty for handball but they’re always given against us so it should have been.
turvontour
Anyone able to explain why that isnt handball tonight but Ashley Youngs against Tottenham was? Look pretty similar to me but there must be distinction.

andym
Southampton have a load of young inexperienced players, and have hired an inexperienced manager. Not the best combination. Crisis club Spurs smashed Palace 4-0 at Selhurst Park, and that's after Palace lost 3-0 in their last home game on Boxing Day. Always thought the praise they and Viera get is a little OTT; we are now ahead of them (albeit on GD and they have a game in hand)

penguin
Considering who’s playing, the quality has been horrendous.
MachoFantastico
At this rate they might as well just accept the draw and walk off the pitch.

sheepyvillian
Chelsea are Tom Tit. Playing at home and giving Citeh that much space. I can't see Potter lasting the season, tbf. .

Hell, Olsen could've easily caught that.
