I want Gerrard out but let’s not get silly. I’m really not a fan of SG management but I’m nowhere near the “anyone but him” stage.

I agree, there are much worse managers than SG. We just haven’t appointed them yet.

Depending on the situation at other clubs when SG is sacked, I expect Purslow’s list to be something like: Rodgers - Southgate - Moyes - Lampard - Rooney - Dyche - Wilder - Hughton.

Lange’s list: Hjulmand, Tomasson.

Purslow only favouring British managers isn't true - on two occasions Bruno Lage was shortlisted. The reality is we won't know who is and isn't.

And I would take messi11 over Gerrard.

I would do an incredible job.

Firstly I would re-instate Mings has captain. Martinez will be Vice Captain
I would drop Mcginn
I would get Buendia and Coutinho on the same pitch. I would give Archer a go upfront. Its not like Watkins and Ings are scoring goals
My goal would be to play attractive football gegenpress football. Running more than the opponents every game would be a must.

I would hire Dwight Yorke as my number 2.

I would be more than happy to see Thomas Frank given a go?

I enjoy watching Brentford play, he seems forward thinking and quite clearly can develop players - you only have to look at how Toney has improved in a short space of time.

I've mentioned him a few times but doesn't seem to be many takers.

He's done a brilliant job at Brentford.

Purslow might have had a shortlist last time out but there was only one candudate ever being considered

Purslow won’t want anyone who steals too much of the limelight unless he can bask in the reflective glow of his own man.

You were doing well until the last sentence.

There's the problem right there. Give him a go, another apprentice manager.

Rodgers is on a fall out with Leicester, but is proven, Poch did a good job with a shit Tottenham and his stock is low at the moment, he could make a name for himself here, more likely to come than a Tuchel.

No more novices please, I don't even think even Potter would have excelled here.

Poch likes a project, we’ve apparently got a project, could be a match made in heaven.

Would have him in a heartbeat.

If the owners are serious about taking this club forward, they should be telling Purslow to go get him whatever it takes.

Would cost millions to sack Gerrard
