Emery is 1000 times the coach that charlatan is.

As much as agree he is a better coach, his record of managing in the Premier League is not great, as previous said not a progressive appointment IMO

No more risky managers. If the owners want European football employ a top manager and give him the funds to achieve it.

It’s just such a no brainer. Absolutely hurl money at any top guy who would join us. How’s it any more expensive than paying off shite managers who have, in the meantime, spunked fortunes on shite players on huge wages and dragged our rep through the mud?

What do you mean by that (honest question)? It’s certainly progress on what we’ve had. He is a manager who has very recently won major things. If you want someone ‘young and hungry’ an argument could be made that Gerrard was that person. he’s actually younger than both Klopp and Guardiola.

his record in the Premier league speaks for itself

The same dude said Dougie was leaving in Jan (still could) but also said never signing the contract. Things change. Money talks.

Hasn’t he got many other things wrong?  He got one thing right once and lived off that.

An elite manager will need £150m to spend minimum - they won’t be coming here to finish 8th they’ll want to challenge for the CL and the league title after a couple of seasons.

This. If we’re reportedly ready and willing to start to spend big money on a coach’s salary for one of the elite, we have to match that with a massive transfer kitty.

that’s harsh. He had one premier league job, barely knew the language, was taking over from a legend and a squad full of ageing and disinterested players and his record is similar to both Wenger and Arteta.

We want an Elite Manager. Not Burnley roll up your sleeves "come on" football

We won't get an elite manager. We are 17th in the league having scored half the goals of Erling Haaland. Who would want that job?

After both Smith and Bruce were sacked we had a new manager within days. They’ll have someone lined up, might none of the names mentioned yet.

Agree, not by Monday but they’ll be in place by this time next week.

It will be Dyche and we will be pleasantly surprised by it

Would be the most disappointed by a manager since Eck…. TBH, he would probably surprise us with results but he played the most negative boring “successful” football in Premier League history.

You can forget the manager. First and foremost we need to sort out the structure of the club

We have no football people. We buy bad players. We spend huge sums of money. We pay people way too much. We buy bad characters.

The whole thing needs ripping from the head down.

This is spot on. Since Jack left, we have been an utter shambles. Spend some serious money on a competent manager and a competent DoF. Let them then decide our football philosophy and buy players to suit that. Literally everybody else can leave. We must have the highest number of coaches out of all PL teams. Clear the decks completely.

Anyone who wants a £10m per year contract which will probably be a £20m payoff if we are till struggling in 6 months. Money talks in this game.
