Mate you said we were done even before we signed the backup LB though. Lol

If you say we are done after each signing you'll be correct at least once 👍🏾

The Manager himself has indicated that we want to strengthen further in midfield.

Bold prediction time - I think that we'll be finished in the transfer window at 11pm on the 1st September.

A broken clock etc...

The negativity on this forum is more exhausting than the heat. Most people would have been delighted with securing Coutinho permanently, signing a lauded DM, an improvement at CB and filling the backup holes at GK and LB. Now the world will end if we don't sign any more midfielders!

Arsenal's dodgy fax machine at the back post at 11:59pm 😬

As my construction manager said to a supplier on the phone a few years back "Fax?! You want me to fax you the purchase order?! It's 20 f***ing 12!"

Regardless of him being shoved out on loan a fair bit, Guilbert has been very supportive of the club on his social media - seems a decent bloke.

Yes, have always taken note of and loved this.

Would imagine we'll let him go in January. Have no issue with him staying as backup and playing him in cups and hopefully giving him some sub cameos. Kesler is probably 12 months away still from being serious option for our matchday squad so that's probably part of Gerrard's thinking aswell.

Only issue there is surely we'll sell a CB as Diego, Mings, Hause, Chambers and Konsa is far too much for side not in europe and we're not going to suddenly start playing a back 3. Could manage if Konsa/Chambers would cover RB when Cash is suspended or injured but less likely if Freddie stays a few more months.

We have our place in the food chain and must wait for others to feed from the table before we do - we may well sign Sangare but he will bife his time to see who comes in for him and then decide. we will  have multiple deals lined up and agreed pending others business being completed.
