Hill St Blues

That's the Mike Post one I was thinking Xann.

Spot on.

He did some belters, Mr Post. This one maybe noses it?

I think you know the Grusin?

Who can come up with two by Andrew Lloyd Webber and one by the Eagles?

Has to be St Elsewhere.

Might need clues for the others but not yet.

Starring a young A list actor.

Yes.

I'm struggling with the others, I've not gone much Eagles knowledge. The only thing I know ALW did was a film called the odessa file (v good) and was surprised when I saw that as I thought he was musical theatre/Classical only.

I think @chrisp65 will approve of this one

I don't know whether it is the 'best theme tune'. It's a good tune, for sure.

What I do know, however, is that this is the best opening title sequence any TV program that I have seen has had, and I don't expect I will ever find one better. It is the perfect synthesis of music and visuals, combining to give so much information about the character, his world, his past, the key themes the show explores, all in like 80 seconds or so. I genuinely consider it a work of art, and I say this as someone who watched the show once years ago and hasn't felt the need to rewatch it since. I rewatch the titles though.
