Grandson was talking about milk and biscuits being put out for Santa. Told him I have it on good authority that Santa likes whiskey. Was a pint of beer in my house. A large sherry when I was a kid. He's not choosy.
Genie
Same here “Santa gets fed up milk so let’s give him something different as a treat”

Wasn't there last week and maybe not there this week (got a common cold) but looking forward to getting back there and having a few post work pints.
dubbs
I have a question. If santa drinks the whiskey we leave out for him, whys he never been done for drink driving?

Santa may have been in charge but responsibility in the end falls upon the driver, who consumed nothing but carrots.
Chindie Posted November 21, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted November 21, 2021 I usually go to my sister's for Christmas Day. This year I can't, so basically i won't be having Christmas Day this year. It's a day off I guess.
sidcow Posted November 21, 2021 Author VT Supporter Share Posted November 21, 2021 In order for Santa to be caught drink driving you would need a Policeman who believes in Santa in order to see him and that my friends is highly unlikely.
Rds1983 Posted November 22, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted November 22, 2021 When do people usually put their lights up? We'd usually put them up about mid-December (12th to 16th), but have done a week or two earlier last few years due to covid and our son. Three of our neighbours put there's up this weekend which seems crazy early to me, Christmas is still over a month away.
Seat68
Nothing more controversial than lights going up when other people deem it too early. Ours could have gone up this weekend but I was busy so it's next weekend.

I'm just curious what the norm is as having moved house this year they seem to go up a lot earlier than where we used to live.

Genie
Our decorations usually go up as close to the first as possible, maybe next Sunday but possible Tuesday/Wednesday.
