The top leagues are full of players that made it out of academies.  I want some more of ours to, tim is top of that list

Personally, I hope to goodness we never have to rely on playing him. Decent Championship midfielder one day maybe.

We are way past wherever he is going.

With Donk gone, its time to see if he gonna make it at Villa or just be Pure Profit.

Considering Tim isn't an DM, you're going to be disappointed.

Tim can play DM, he's tough in the tackle, and good at driving out from deep. He also he a good range of passing. Not forgetting he is tall and athletic.

He has the potential to be a top player. All the raw materials are there. He needs to improve his concentration and reading of the game. But those are things that come with experience and good coaching.

Our system will suit him with lots of the ball in this area of the pitch. Playing in a counter attacking team like QPR under Gerrards second assistant manager (forgot his name) isn't making the most of his qualities. Especially as he is still learning where to position himself and what runs to make. Playing DM makes this easier as the play is in front to you, and you have the extra time on the ball  you more time to judge.

Playing DM at this stage of his career will suit him. Gerrard,  Lampard and most of the best central midfielders played DM early in their careers.

Donk leaving means he will get his chance. And staying at Villa the whole season make him Villa trained. Meaning he will be an extra man in our European squad. (Currently limited to 22, as only one 1 of our squad count as homegrown and Villa trained, as you have to name 4 such players in the 25 man squad).

Emery must rate him. And he's the best judge of us all.

lol...  He'll barely get minutes this season.  Maybe 2-3 appearances if that then will be shipped off this summer.  Not good enough in the Championship last season and isn't good enough for us now.  The amount of praise this kid has gotten from some Villa supporters for doing fook all in his career is shocking.

Yet Emery has kept him over a 28 year old Belgian international back up.

He's 20 years old. He's gone from Beale and Critchley to Unai Emery. But yeah sure, just write him off.

You know nothing about football talent. Stick to being negative on forums

But if Unai preferred Tim he’d have been bringing him on over Donk and he wasn’t. Tim has come on once this season and hasn’t progressed from where he was 18 months ago when he showed a lot of promise. Even Skipp did better than him in the Champ and he’s like 4th or 5th choice for Tottenham (Bentancur, Bissouma, Hojberg and Sarr ahead of him in pecking order).

If we go with just Kamara and Tim as our holding midfield options you really do worry what is going on.

Not saying we won't bring in another, but its pretty clear Unai sees Tim as a project or he would have moved him on by now.

Not sure how he hasn't done anything with his career, his career has barely begun for him not to have done anytthing with it, if anything he's done more than the vast majority of players his age.

He only turned twenty in the summer, and has mostly been injured since then, first half of last season whilst still only nineteen and on his first loan he was one of the standout midfielders in the Championship, and then was okay second half, just asked to play a more reserved role and QPR were struggling as a team, but for a teenager on his first loan he was still doing well

The fact that he got a move to the straight to the Championship as his first loan was a big achievement in itself.

We aren't going with just Kamara and Tim.  Emery literally said it would be one in one out, why do people think that's changed?

Why would Emery bring Iro on instead of Dendoncker, if we're bringing on Dendoncker it's obviously to help us protect a lead, Dendoncker is an experienced Premier League player and a Belgium international many times over, he's also an out and out DM, which Iroegbunam is not, so of course he's going to come on ahead of Iroegbunam.

Iroegbunam might develop into a more traditional DM, maybe that's the plan, he's got the attributes, but I think he's much more of an 'eight' than many seem to realize, he's probably more likely to come on in games for Luiz, Tielemans, Ramsey, or McGinn, than he is for Kamara at the moment, so I'm pretty sure we will be signing a more specialist DM as backup to Kamara, or I would be surprised if we didn't

You’d hope so but he also said we would only bring in players who very obviously improve us and that doesn’t seem to be happening either.
