I know, very little about the u23's

but it seems strange that Albion are above us.....after us raiding many of their best players.?

Most of our team is out on loan, which is the best thing for them. League position and results mean little... more about developing players.

The better ones are in and around the first team now.

Unusual for a team to change its central defensive partnership completely during a game - we started with Appiah and Feeney and have now got Kerr Smith and Sil Swinkels playing there with Feeney in front of them.

We changed out Barber as well, so three of the back four during the game.

Front page stats updated.

Fulham guarantee the title with the win.  It was actually the 3rd youngest side we've put out this season (all 3 lost) at an average of 18.21 y/o. Swinkels made his comeback from the bench. His first appearance since January 10th. Appiah makes his 3rd appearance in a row after only 1 previous outing. Kerr Smith has his miuntes managed and makes his 3rd appearance in a row too, albeit this time from the bench. Finley Munroe made his 3rd start in 4 games, and only his 4th start of the season.  Abldeen-Goodridge goes level with Thorndike on 23 appearances in all competitions this season, 2nd only to Lindley's 25.

Another interminable wait now for the next game in 14 days time. The re-arranged Southampton game at Bodymoor Heath with a 2pm kick off.

A bad weekend at the office for Villa as we slip to 7th with fewer games left to play than many sides around us. Some big wins for the likes of Newcastle, Stoke and Southampton.

The playoffs look beyond us now when you factor in how we tend to treat this competition.

Friday 25th
19:00 Fulham(1->1)       2-1 Aston Villa(4->7)

Saturday 26th
15:00 Southampton(7->5)  4-2 Notts Forest(5->9)

Sunday 27th
19:00 sha(12->11)        4-2 Middlesbrough(13->13)

Monday 28th
19:00 Burnley(10->10)    P-P West Brom(3->3)
19:00 Norwich(2->2)      3-4 Newcastle(6->4)
19:00 Sunderland(11->12) 0-3 Stoke City(8->6)
19:00 Wolves(9->8)       4-3 Reading(14->14)

Don't we have an average age of just over 18 for this league too?

We don't have many in our team who are 21/22 and shouldn't be there
