It's hilarious how low we've fallen. Still no way near good enough for the money we've paid. Villatalk wankfest? Regular? It's 99% negativity. 78% of it mine.

I think today was the most consistent I've seen him this season. He's definitely grown into the season. I think another issue is the price tag, because he’s come in for 30 odd million people expect world class performances every week, and perhaps judge him against the £100m player he came in to replace. Emi is class and will be a huge player for us imo. Edited January 2, 2022 by av1

Guest av1
Another thing I’ve noticed, and maybe it’s because he likes to get stuck in, but he seems to get hammered every week. Apart from the awful incident with his arm (which I think was intentional) someone stood on his foot again. He always seems to be in the wars

But in general you could argue that because of his size, opposing players feel more compelled to bully him around.

AV82
He's progressing nicely. Not the finished article by any means but there's lots to be excited about yet again.

He gets battered every week (I think Gerrard has alluded to it previously too) but players don’t seem to get penalised for it.

Yep, I didn't realise it at the time, replay here. Should've seen red.

Keener window-cleaner
He faded in the second half, was very good in the first, but that's also what expect from him playing against Championship players. It's up to him to improve so that he can perform against the top teams.
MWARLEY2
This js a brand new position for him. Never ever played as a 10 at Norwich. Was the best i have seen of him today but you have to temper it with the fact Brentford were pretty crap today bar the 2 goals
