We're lifeless. No pressing, no urgency, no closing down, no cutting out crosses etc etc. I'll be amazed if we have a serious goalscoring opportunity in this game.

Exactly what the hell has smith been working on during our time off? We look as lame as we did against leicester

Nothing came of it but stuff like that little sequence of play there kind of sums up why we've been so easy to play against. After their throw in Alonso was stuck by the touchline, seemingly with nothing on, with 4 Villa players around him and he was still able to handily play a pass straight in to Giroud. There's very few teams in the league that afford such an easy ride in scenarios like that.

This is the type of game nakamba should be starting not hourihane

Every time we've worried overly about stopping the opposition, we've lost. Hourihane has scored important goals for us time and again, and absolutely has to play considering the paucity of our attack.

Negativity on here is ..........expected. Look at the league table , the squads, the confidence levels , it’s still 0-0 enjoy.

League positions don't stop teams closing down
