Looks like the leaks regards the variant illuminati are true! I wonder if that means Tom Cruise as Superior Iron Man with 3 infinity stones rather than the arc reactor on his chest, and Ioan Grufford back as variant Reed Richards are true!

Spoiler

Fairly certain it's Superior in the trailer above at the 15 seconds mark. Might be Nova but feels a weird place to debut him.

There's rumours Anson Mount is back as Black Bolt too which would fit here.

Wolverine to be in Dr Strange 2 and supposedly played by Daniel Radcliffe.

A pint sized Logan… oh dear oh dear

I suppose the unveiling of Harry Styles in The Eternals has opened the doors to miscasting anyone famous into the new Marvel franchise?

I’m expecting Justin Bieber to be The Thing in a Fantastic Four reboot now

The character is meant to be 5'3".

When Jackman was first cast people were angry he was too tall.

I know Wolverine was ‘short’ but he was stocky and physically imposing.

Daniel Radcliffe is as aggressive and imposing as a damp tissue.

Agreed. Think I'd rather the character was played by Emma Watson.

Harry Potter isn't Logan.

If that is true, as it's in Multiverse of Madness it can perhaps be a whacky throwaway moment of an alternate universe. It can't be any more because Radcliffe isn't even close to embodying Wolverine's presence.

He was linked to the Moon Knight role prior to Isaac being confirmed and he was wrong for that part, by miles, but even that is closer to being him than Wolverine is.

Marvel are very, very good at getting actors to pack on muscle and look bulky. Just look at the difference between Hemsworth when he's training for a movie and when he isn't. Pack some muscle on him (he's already previously put some on) , get him playing something a bit edgier like he did in Horns and I can kinda see where people could get the idea from (see pics below) . A few years ago people would have scoffed at Pattinson playing Batman. I hope it's nonsense but wouldn't be surprised if it was true.

Whats next harry hill to play lex luthor?

Don't forget that singer from One Direction being an Eternal. I'm not sure we're the demographic they're aiming for anymore.

As good as Marvel are, I genuinely don't think you can get Radcliffe to look as absolutely jacked as Logan needs to be.

And even setting that aside he's just not the kind of actor to carry that role. Wolverine is a rough, tough, cynical, gravel voiced hard man. Radcliffe doesn't have that in him.

If you wanted to do a really comic accurate take, you need a very short but very heavily muscled hairy bloke with a chin you could smash open doors with.

Unfortunately there's not many square men in Hollywood.

Looking at the fancasting best bets the favourites for the MCU Wolverine are Milo Gibson (Mel's son), Scott Eastwood (Clint's son) and Tom Hardy (someone's son). I've never heard of Milo Gibson but he's fairly short, hairy, and has a reasonably grizzled face, but doesn't quite look like Wolverine for me. Scott Eastwood is taller, but looks more like Logan should IMO, he has that world weariness. But also I'm not sure I've seen him with immense muscle mass and he's not a leading man kind of guy. And Hardy is Hardy. It's not going to be him, and he doesn't have the look of Logan IMO anyway, but he can do the part in his sleep.

Casting Wolverine is quite hard. He's a very specific 'kind' of character, one there's not tonnes of Hollywood options on. Even if you set aside the height stuff, you need a non-pretty boy hairy tough man in his late 30s at most who can lead a film and bulk to ****.
