Match Thread: Villa v SHA

I struggle to understand what the game plan with Hogan is as the chaps on the radio have been saying. Surely it's not hoof the ball up as we've been doing. I can understand if we're trying the passes along THE FLOOR to get behind the defense and for Scott to run onto and it not working every time, but my understanding is we're not even attempting this judging by the commentary.

I don't know why I get so excited the night before any Villa game, when I know full well we will only create 2 chances a game and play extremely dull defensive football.

And that's on a good day ;)

Midfield 3 no movement in the final third.

Jack on the left, cut back get muscled off and lose it.

Adomah. Invisible. Looos scared to get on the ball.

Hogan. Feel sorry for him.

Hogan Is too good for this team - hIs movement far too good for our midfield

Not quite sure i subscribe to the "too big a club for him " line. He's just very very tactically flawed as a coach. No ideas, no creativity..we are on a hiding to nothing if we stick with this lad next year.

Old school boss like allardyce and moyes - don't get beat is theIr philosophy rather than go and win .
