sparky
Ok, last time I checked we were still in the Premier League (just), also last time I checked it was still mathematically possible to still be in the Premier League next season (just). So while there is still a chance for us to do this I will still be screaming my lungs out supporting the PLAYERS and MANAGER in trying to pull off this great escape. Yes the board/owner are seriously **** us over and appear to have given up hope, and yes there hasnt been many performances to give us hope as fans this season but without hope we are as good as the board in giving up on this squad of players. Lets get behind the 11 out on the pitch tonight, whoever they may be and roar them on to 3 points. We are ASTON VILLA and as a group of fans we shouldn't give up on the hope of us getting out of this. We can protest against/argue with the board as much as we like in the summer but until that fat lady sings we as fans need to go out fighting and show the world that we may have some group of muppets running the joint but we will back our team to the very end. Lets do this. 100% effort. 100% until the death. We are ASTON VILLA. WE CAN STAY UP!!!! #GreatEscape

Then we lose to Norwich on Saturday when we could close the gap to a 2 game deficit - The Villa way The result to Norwich being 3-2 to them with us 2-0 up with 5 minutes to go? Popular Post GREAT_BEARD_OF_ZEUS
If I was a really pissed off football manager who'd be hung out to dry by his board, I think I go a bit rogue and try out some really bat **** crazy formation! You know, one that on the face of it looks mental, but actually there's a bit of method in the madness. I give you the BULLDOZER!!!! On the face of it, West Ham look at our team sheet and think we’re lining up with a very defensive 5-4-1 formation with the amount of defenders we’re playing. BUT NO!!! We actually stick Clark and Richards just behind Gabby upfront, with the game plan to hoof it up to them to (a) flick on to Gabby / one of the overlapping wingbacks, or (b) hold and play in / knock down to Gil and Veretout. By playing those brutes in the gap between midfield and defence it’ll either draw Collins and Ogbonna out and leave Gabby to play on the shoulder, or they’ll sit back and we can aerially own that part of the pitch! Gil and Veretout are probably our best passers/holders of the ball, so tell them to just own that centre circle and move up and down together, with the relative security of 3 central defenders behind them (I did have Snachez in as the 3rd CB but as he is injured, Aly will need to play as one instead). Then we just tell Grealish and Ayew run their backsides off up and down that line (yeah ok we might need to rethink Grealish and stick Bacuna in there perhaps). At various points in the game we stop for a breather and the two up top centre backs switch with Grealish and Ayew – that way confusing the crap out of the opposition! CRAZY BUT AMAZING RIGHT!!! Right? ………… Guys? Edited February 2, 2016 by GREAT_BEARD_OF_ZEUS
srsmithusa
If the players show up responding to Remi, we'll get a 1-1 draw. If the players show up responding to the Board, 3-0 loss.
Pilchard
3-0 to West Ham. We manage the total of one shot on goal. It shows how crap we are when it is 12/1 to lose 3-0 vs west ham

Dorset77Villa
Bench is very poor but the starting 11 looks good. I guess tonight we will actually see what Gabby can do and see if he can work with Ayew
