Summer Speculation 2015

Thought this was interesting. The Guardian have posted details on just who is in charge of transfers at the premier league clubs.

Aston Villa

The club have created an informal committee to oversee transfers that includes Tom Fox, the chief executive, Patrick Reilly, the director of recruitment, Sharon Barnhurst, the club secretary, and Tim Sherwood, the manager. With the backing of Randy Lerner, Villa’s owner, Fox gets the financial framework of any transfer deal approved but is not involved in negotiating with the agent, which he leaves to Barnhurst and Reilly. Sherwood is not keen on working within a continental structure – Villa never filled the director of football operations position that was advertised at the start of the year – and likes full control of transfers. SJ

Would love us to buy Jonathas from Each, would be relatively cheap replacement for Benteke, the guy is a beast and would love to have a Brazilian at Villa!!

Well, they have marriages and civil partnerships held their now so you never know, maybe they have opened up the doors for people to take care of their personal hygiene? A different kind of groom?

Jeison Murillo to Inter for  £5.7m.

Probably couldn't have found a better deal on a CB. Young. Talented. Gonna be world class in a year or 2. Very much like a young Thiago Silva or Lucio.

We should of been in for him.

I like it too, doesnt give him too much power like MON had but also gives him a lot of freedom over what he wants

maybe could have put Nicky Keye on the committee after all the work done over the years ;)

Played well in Copa America. How do you rate the other young guy at the back, Arias. Think he plays for PSV?

Did Amavi not get his own thread. Some report is claiming we've put in another bid for him...9m now.

Are Lyon actually interested in him?

There was no problem over fee though. Nice accepted our original offer, the player wasn't interested.

yeah just read paper talk and sun saying we tabled 9 mill bid

9 mill Amavi...9 mill Gueye & 10 mill Praet

Richards must of had a signing on fee?and the finalising of Sinclair

Thats a fair bit of cash going out if all deals come off

Just seen it, Alan Nixon reporting it so probably true. Potentially another £9m signing.

*sits down*
