$200 Million Takeover

Please no guessing then claiming ITK guys. Lets just try send facts now, its frustrating enough. Fazilla no disrespect but I dont believe you and its this sort of ITK we don't need.

If anyone has genuine ITK it would be nice if they could tell us there source, no names but a little clearer detail would be great. We don't wanna end up like TBAR where nearly everyone is guessing, the place is awash with ITK wannabies, its a mess!

I am not ITK and I don't know if what I was told is true.  I hope it is not and that Randy has somebody lined up but I have a nasty feeling that we will not get a quick sale.

I have been told that Randy had agreed a deal to sell the club weeks ago but that it unexpectedly fell through. He made his statement about talking about his intentions at the end of the season thinking that he would be able to tell everybody that he had sold the club. Now that his buyer has dropped out he is in limbo and is desperately trying to find somebody else to buy the club.

Did the person who told you also get told this?

He is a chartered accountant who specialises in financial acquisitions.

If this is true it could spell trouble.

The new owners have already gone down in my estimations if they're even considering keeping Lambert.

Luckily I don't think they are and that rumour just isn't true.

So potential new owners aren't allowed to at least consider all their options?

To even contemplate a manager who lost 20 games and got 38 points would really concern me about their ideas and who they felt they could attract to the club. Thankfully I can't see any new owners having any interest in Paul Lambert.

Not sure how much blame I can lay at Lambrini's door. I don't think many others could do better when your options are to play the shit one, the shit one, or spend some money on what you can afford.. The shit one.

I like the idea of a fresh suit in the dug out as much as anyone but if Lamberk is still there in August after hopefully spending more dollar, I won't be too disappointed.

Perhaps they think he could do better with more backing?

I'm not fussed if he goes by the way, I just find it odd that you're already castigating potential owners just for considering all their options.

I'm not castigating them as I think its complete rubbish about them talking to Lambert.

Money's a precious thing. If we want to be about more than a flash in the pan we need someone wealthier than that. As upsetting as that may be.

Funny how quickly people go from simply wanting a change of ownership to seemingly only being happy with being bought by somebody who has the wealth to do a Man City. It's not even like having a really really wealthy owner (in comparison to the rest of the league) is a guarantee for heavy spending.

Yeah weren't people saying anyone but Lerner as long as they know how to run a successful company!

It comes down to this. You want the best you can get

A bit juvenile, don't you think?

I'm sure they'll speak to him even if it's just a formality. He is employed by the club after all. Things have to be done a certain way so just because we may hear they are speaking to Lambert about him staying on as manager, doesn't have to mean he is seriously considered for the job.

But if it was true you would, at least that's what you indicated in your original post.

They would go massively down in my estimations if they didn't even speak to him, whether they are actually considering him or not. He has some unique knowledge about the team which, as newcomers, they would be fools not to try to obtain.

Regardless, he should be interviewed IMO alongside other candidates that they are able to identify and attract and then they can make a rational, reasoned decision.

His failed two-year reign here will tell them all they need to know. Any interview with him is pointless in the face of this.

I would hope new owners aren't just jumping into this and have a man they want already in mind.

And so it begins!

Re Lambert - A lot depends on time-scales - if the new owners are coming to the table in August for example - they may think it better to start with the in situ manager - rather than start day 1 with a manager hunt. If they come in earlier than yes, even as a Lambert sympathiser - a fresh start would be best for all...

Of course theres always the possibility that Lambert won't want to stick around, and would rather find himself a new club
