samjp26
"The confusion at Fulham continued on Saturday with the club insisting that Rene Meulensteen had not been sacked despite Felix Magath being brought in as the “first-team manager” over his head." Baffled.
islingtonclaret
what on earth is going on over there
Jimzk5
Meulensteen was never given the managers job officially, he has, always been 'head coach', it appears FM has been brought in as first team manager above him

Messed up situation over there at Fulham, especially if they go down.
LordSepulchrave
So Mohamed Fayed, a businessman well known for being eccentric and making strange decisions, is replaced with an ultra-rich american businessman who has experience running a sports business. The running of the club then goes from steady and generally well run to an erratic omnishambles. That feels like it's the wrong way round. MessiWillSignForVilla
Maybe Khan is trying to run Fulham like an NFL team, they have general managers and head coaches over there, maybe he's making Magath General Manager and Muelensteen Head Coach. garyshaw
Very strange what is going there. I am not entirely happy with our cost cutting and general going nowhere as a club, but when you see this and the owners at Cardiff and Hull it does make you wonder. So cue, GK coach, RB coach, LB coach, LCB coach, RCB coach, then a defensive co-ordinator. Same for midfield and offense, sorry, attack. They'll need a new coach to transport all the coaches around!! But 'general manager' is totally different over there. It's more like a CEO. If he's trying to do that, he will fail.
