chappy Posted January 18, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) In my lifetime (and that I can remember watching): that last season Milner gave us would be difficult to top. Edited January 18, 2014 by chappy

Ulver
There's not even a debate here. It's Sir Sidney Of Cowanshire by a country mile. Not only the best Villa midfielder, but the best Villa player of all time too. Genius, 10.

Electric Avenue
Nobby Solano for me. Class. He had a great season here but best ever? Nah. I'm not sure what we're judging it by. Cowans in terms of long term servant yes. My view on Nobby was individual talent and skill / technical ability. In terms of being a winner and a leader, Kevin Richardson would get my vote. Great captain he was.

terrytini
Cowans would have been nothing without Des Bremner, our most under-rated midfield player ever, an absolute trojan, so I thought I'd make sure he got in here ! My favourite - Mortimer with those 'surges'. BUt my hero - Bruce Rioch 'born is the king of Villa Park' -remember that ?
