  1. Not doing this one. Been once already this season and can't imagine we'll get anything.
  2. whoooooa could you imagine that. Walking around a giant VP like an ant. It might just be possible, now that the height limit has been increased...
  3. Quite right - as I'm sure you know the Holte End pretty infamously 'overlaps' with the Doug, which I haven't really taken into account at all. I just built in the tunnel gap thing on the corner of the Holte/Doug, which is for ambulances/trucks/whatever, and then put in the rows of 'seats' next to that. The only way for me to position the tunnel/gap in the right place at the right angle and have the Holte overlapping like it shoud would have been to move the Holte further back from the pitch, which I didn't want to do. So I compromised I discovered that when working in the confines of 1x1x1 metre blocks you have to compromise ALOT on a build like this. Interiors are a NIGHTMARE. You think you'll have tons of room inside to have a few floors, and plenty of space to walk around in, but it doesnt quite work out that way when you start erecting stairs and stuff. Which is pretty much why I havent touched it in a good month or two. The next part for me to tackle would be the corner of the Holte/Trinity, and the sky lounge/boxes/whatever theyre called. Theyre all positioned on kind of a slant to the pitch, which will be pretty tough to replicate without it looking terrible. But, as I said, compromise...
  4. Yeh those wheelie-men or whatever they were called are something else. Man. Also I seem to recall in Never Ending Story 2, or maybe 3, these tall dark things that appear out of the ground and attack a city or something during the film. Mostly though, it was this little bastard Psammead from Five Children and It. Repulsive little creature. Also I was very scared of Moths, still don't like them now, but whereas I used to run away from them now I punch them
  5. It does have one now! As for the facade of the Holte, it's the same as the Trinity at the moment - non-existant You'll have to excuse the sucky/dark look of these pics - I downloaded the new update so my texture pack and SPC are out of date
  6. I have declined the opportunity of working overtime and earning double pay on saturday in favour of going to see the Villa...so on sunday I expect I'll be terribly depressed, and will probably spend most of the day in the bath with a razor to my wrist

    Trains

Trains go to Norwich?? Goodness me.
  8. Well, in comparison to XIII it's paced quite differently. One of the major criticisms of XIII was that you basically run down a 'corridor', or enclosed map, do a few battles, have a cutscene, and so on for more or less the whole game (you eventually unlock an big open field but thats quite nearly the end of the game). So the pace is quick - given the player is willing to continue, anyway. SE took on board alot of criticism for the sequel and changed a whole bunch of things - that linearality being one of the key changes. So they split the 'levels' up so you pick and choose where to go and what to do next (for the most part, anyway). There are a whole bunch of optional places to go to that you can finish the game without visiting, which have their own stories on the side of the main one, which was another thing people were hoping for. It's a shame they didn't go further than just dressing up the same maps in different time periods, though. To answer your question, well. Hmm. I can't honestly say the pace does pick up much, not in comparison to the first few hours. I know the very very start has the bit where youre in New Bodhum and you just run around talking to people for a bit before the meteor hits and chaos ensues, right? The rest of the game is more of the same really. The story picks up in a major way at one point, but the pacing of the game hasn't been an issue for me at all I have to admit. I currently have Omega Weapon in my party, having defeated it and got the crystal for it on about the 4th time of asking. It's pretty fantastic, the laser sound is just glorious. PEWPEWPEWPEWPEW
  9. Damn. Thought it was a nerd phrase and I was being hilarious. What's the word? G-C (without the dash) was replaced with AMcL, first thing that comes to mind that that might stand for is ginger word removed ofc Although I quite like the sound of 'AMcL is a blaze', but I have no idea what it does/could mean
  10. I do - Resident Evil. Never played any of them properly on PS1 and never played any of the next gen games either. This week PS+ has Resi 2 & 3 up for free download, so I've grabbed them. Not played them yet, but they're there for me to dip into when the fancy takes me. I remember played Resi 1 on PS1 at a mates years and years ago, and not liking the controls at all, so that put me off them all together I guess. In fact, 'survival horror' as a whole I've never really given a proper go, not any of the Resi games, not Silent Hill, not Alone in the Dark, not Amnesia, not Fatal Frame/Project Zero...in fact, the only ones I've really ever liked were the very recent Dead Space and the pretty old Enemy Zero (on the Saturn!)
  11. Excellent stuff, I hope one of the marches starts near to the train station so they can show me the way to the ground Better yet, I'll get a group of Villa fans in with them, we can all protest against everything together! KEAN OUT MCLEISH OUT **** OFF YE WEE SCOTTISH BASTTADS, etc., who knows, we might at least get on MOTD
  12. How come everyone thinks TRST is a nose? I guess it's maybe a running joke I've missed out on. It's just a bit odd as I see him championing the Villa on another forum quite often
  13. As I mentioned in a spoiler a few pages back, some of the decision choices you have can make pretty massive differences - for example, you can 'end' the game about 3/4 of the way through if you'd like. As for exploration, naw, I think those days and gone and are never to return. They made alot of the maps larger with more open spaces which creates some illusion of non-linearality (in fact probably the largest and prettiest city in any FF game is in XIII-2, but it isn't exactly bursting with things to do (but has any FF city ever been?)). I read with interest on another forum a guy defending XIII in regards to it being too linear - In VII, for example, all you really do is go from A to B, the world map is just a distraction, giving an illusion of freedom. It's not exactly something I agree with, the world map added alot to the feel, atmosphere, and mythos of the world too - after all, the game is about saving the world so it's nice to actually see it. I appreciate the point that was trying to be made. MAN is there any better group of gamers than FF fans? I think not It really amused me recently on GameFAQs how a light hearted discussion about hypthetical Cloud XIII-2 DLC turned into proper serious debate about which Cloud it would be, and why AC Cloud sucks, and how Dissidia Cloud is the best... wonderful!
  14. Think I'm going to take a hardhat to this one, it's going to get nasty
  15. There seems to be an ever growing number of people who have had their Collector's Editon pre-orders cancelled with Game, and they now can't order it from anywhere else as the usually suspects (Amazon, Play, Zavvi) all appear to have sold out (for Xbox and PC anyway). The blogs in the community section on the Game website provides some laughs
  16. Oh dear! I thought it was XIII you got? And of all the criticisms of XIII and 2 I would gladly accept, being slow paced is not one of them
  17. I'm quite surprised at the amount of similar sentiments I've heard. GC is a blaze with similar comments. I've personally never had any bad experiences with them, online or in store...but tbf most of the bad stuff I've heard is what 'gamers' have heard staff in stores telling people who blatently know nothing about computer games and are buying for their kids or whatever.
  18. Sales figures are looking positive at the moment for this - in Europe and America anyway. Japan aren't quite as taken it would seem
  19. Mass Effect 3 has become the latest game they will not be stocking, either in store or online. A statement released today reads; This follows news that they won't be stocking The Last Story or Ubisoft Vita games. Worse still are reports that they won't be stocking any EA games after SSX this week. Which sucks. My ME3 pre-order is with them, and I often use them for pre-orders. Would be sad to see them leave the high street - I don't think my town will be the only one with just CEX as the nearest thing to a dedicated 'stockist' of computer games if GAME and Gamestation disappear It's also claimed their won't be any further Nintendo games either - startng with Mario Party this week
  20. Videodrome is **** brilliant, definitely my favourite Cronenburg film. I guess noiseheads/power electronis artists must have a similar taste in cinema, as that is sampled a lot. Propergol did a wonderful track using a bunch of samples called Nicki Brand, and I've used it too - Brian O'Blivion's "Battle for North America" speech LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH
  21. UFC/Pride/MMA

Must admit I do like Mark Hunt, very old school, reminds me of Tank Abbott And gosh that up kick was horrific.
  23. It became very clear to me that this was the tipping point of many of our fans from being not really very anti-mcleish to becomcng slightly anti-mcleish. He spoke of the 'silent majority' a few weeks ago, in regard to the protest before the Citeh game - I think there were quite a few people who decided to remain silent no longer yesterday, and with good reason. Myself included. I am going to Blackburn next weekend, but am very, very worried at may happen. It could get ugly. Blackburn offer so much more in attacking strength than Wigan that a performance even remotely resembling yesterdays will lead to defeat, in which case the flood gates will open unto mcleish and the last few months of the season would be horrific. Had to chuckle at the fact the broadcasters decision not to include Heskeys 'shot' though - despite the fact they put in his one a few weeks ago that went out for a throwin. This one was far closer!
  24. Call of Duty, MMOs in general (I guess I can specify Warcraft as 'acclaimed' though, tried it, couldnt get on with it), Far Cry, but the major one would have to be Tomb Raider. Everyone used to rave about, but I just thought...guh? Just didnt find it fun, interesting, exciting...or anything at all really. Fast forward from the PS1 era, I tried the current gen one (it was free on PS+) and found I had the exact same issues with it.
