  1. Yeh I see your point, but in regards to benefit fraud, and only benefit fraud, as I said, there's no harm in it at all, from my perspective. I know the system well enough that if I did shop a family member/friend and they ended up owing a shed load of money, I could tell them what to do/say so that they would pay off the bare minimum possible for life, if anything at all. Loadsa monaayyyy To which you may respond, what would be the point in shopping someone if they werent going to pay it back anyway? Well, I would be safe in the knowledge that from then on they would be paid what they are due, which, shock horror, is quite an important issue for me. They wouldnt have a criminal record, they wouldnt have any CCJs or anything like that against their name, and they would be able to continue claiming benefits if they had to. And what impact would this have with my relationship with that person? Well I wouldn't just do it without telling them, of course I would discuss it with them. All of my family members and friends know what my line of work is, and I have had very frank discussions with the few of them that claim/have claimed benefits, in regard to what they should or shouldnt be doing whilst claiming. I think it's safe to say that if I didn't do what I do for a job, my view point and repsonse to this hypothetical situation would be quite different.
  2. I don't really see what the problem is about 'shopping' family members in regard to benefit fraud. All that'll happen is they'll have to pay back what they werent supposed to have (probably not all of it (think of it as an interest free loan)), and then they will be paid what they are entitled to - if anything at all. Even if they are taken in by Fraud, they can sign an administrative penalty, meaning they wouldnt have any action taken against them in the courts, at the cost of owing an extra 1/3 (at the moment) of what they already owe. From my perspective loyalty and 'blood' doesn't really come in to it at all.
  3. Worse team I've seen this year (and they still took points off of us...), so would be happy to see them go. Said they same about Blackburn last year, but would actually quite like them to stay up this time around. Wolves/Wigan/QPR down.
  4. ths so true i went swansea & wigan away and was close to the drummer both times and i just laffed at them, we will be playing music when we score next even though that does work for bayern munich Or worse still - the announcer saying the first name of the player starting/the scorer, and leaving the crowd to fill in the blank for the surname :| Remember when they tried that last season? I forget which game it was, but...utter crumble. Everyone just looked at each other as if to say...wuuuuh?
  5. Ah - my area of expertise Fill it in, man I work in the recovery of benefit overpayments, which includes fraud. How long has the suspected fraud been going on for? If the total amount of the benefits incorrectly paid to the individual is less than £5k it is highly unlikely it would go to court, unless theyre a repeat offender. If the individual never admits wrongdoing, or is not convicted in court, we can't classify the overpayment as fraud - officially speaking, it's a 'mistake'. Point being, if you're worried about dobbing someone in and they'll eventually be carted off down to the old bailey or something, that is hiiiiighly unlikely. The most probable course of events would be that the individual would be called into their local office for an interview, to see if they wanted to tell us anything, like they forgot to tell us when they could start walking properly again. If they did tell us something at that interview, great, we'd calculate an overpayment from the time the said they were better/were working when shouldnt have been/etc. if not then the investigators would try to conjure up some evidence to the contrary of what they were told, hold an interview under caution, and see if the claimant accepts liability. This is the part on those shows when they show the individual a video of them doing a marathon when theyre supposed to be confined to a wheelchair or something. At some point thereafter they would get a letter from us telling them how much they owe. If they continue to claim benefit we would take it straight from that. It's also important to bear in mind that your ability to claim benefits can not be rescinded, even if found guilty of benefit fraud and jailed. Your ability to claim or payments whilst claiming can be sanctioned, but the soc' can't just say 'SORRY YOUVE BEEN TO NAUGHTY NO MORE DOLE FOR YOU'. At least not yet. In short - don't let any reservations or worries about repercussions you might have put you off shopping someone. It's anonymous so they won't know who did it, you'd only have to live with the guilt yourself like
  6. Hope the P8 lot stick it to the away fans with as much fervour as the lower North

  9. Anyone tried I Am Alive? A review I read was pretty decent, considering it had been in developmental hell for so long
  10. Looks like the Game and Gamestation in my town, along with countless thousands of others, will become yet more empty stores on the high street...
  11. He may well have bigger fish to fry than us come the summer Someone photoshop that badboy
  12. Define 'possible' Well, actually, it isnt possible The new height limit is 256, so with a 1x1x1 inch block scale it'd only be ~21 feet tall, max.
  13. Journey is **** incredible. The online play is perfectly implemented, its quite a strange thing how attached you get to this other player who you can only communicate with via a kind of whistle. It's nice to see their name at the end of the game, it reveals who you encountered during your 'journey'. I found the atmosphere to be quite reminiscent of Shadow of the Colossus and Ico - shrouded in mystery, occasionally dark in tone, moody, and just an absoloute joy. It is short though - very very short, probably, I'm not quite sure how long it took me from start to finish as I didn't notice the time when I started. But MAN, if ever a game could be considered as art, this is it, in a similar way to Flower before it. Difference is Journey actually holds alot more gameplay than Flower, which was pretty and all, but honestly a little boring. Journey just sweeps you up for 2 hours or so and you just don't want to leave until its over. Magical stuff.

Watching the Villa was pretty effective for me on Saturday
  15. Platinum'd XIII-2 yesterday. It was joyful
  16. I will be taking them up on the the offer of the 'try a different seat for free' thing, I'll give the lower Doug a go and maybe the wings of the upper Trinity...oh who am I kidding, I just want to tick them off as having sat there cos I'm a sad sad man. It always did strike me as a bit odd that so many of the upper tier blocks in the Doug and Trinity were the highest prices, so it's pleasing to see that they've 'narrowed' them and made only the middle couple/three blocks the priciest So, desperate times really do mean desperate measures Surely this is the year for promotion btw?
  17. Played a few hours earlier but it hasnt pulled me in to the extent that I just want to jump straight back in. I've played some FFXIII-2 and have Journey to start before I'll back back to it. Ho-hum
  18. Thats the point, sillyhead ^___^ But this helps too
  19. Which ending did you get?
  20. you bastard. YOU............BASTARD!
  21. I have Journey to play when I get home today - but I'll also have ME3, so it'll probably have to wait. Quite eager to get into it and see what the fuss is about though. PS+ has been pretty unrelenting at throwing games at me in the last few weeks, Simpsons Arcade I played through once, then there's Sly Raccoon HD, Trine 2, all the episodes of Back to the Future, Arc the Lad, and Resi 2 & 3, which I havent touched yet - all of which were 'free'. And in regards to ME3 - I wouldnt really be surprised if its worse then 2, which in turn I felt was worse than 1. Regardless, I'll still have a blast with it, I'm sure.
  22. I don't have enough time to finish my mega ultra bitch renegade FemShep run on xbox, so I've ordered the game on PS3 aswell so I can do my first run through of ME3 on that with paragon BroShep I have never bought a game for 2 seperate consoles at launch before, as really, there has never been any other point. But with the differences in my runs on the various platforms I think it'll be worth it. I actually have ME1 & 2 on PC aswell...my very first game was on PC but I switched to the consoles after that. Only downside with playing it on PS3 first, which means no ME1 save data, is (I presume) not seeing the conclusion of the Conrad Verner side quest...imagine if I miss out on him becoming an alliance hero or something. Considering the amount of time he took up over the first two games (10/15 minutes?) he certainly left a lasting impression
