  1. Actually quite relieved I'm not going to this one. I think it will get very messy, one way or another

    Protesting News

#stopmcleish2012 hahaha, good good Although if it's anything like the game last night, which it will be, the stewards will only take the signs off you after you unfurl them anyways. 'Get the 'Eck Out' only lasted a few seconds yesterday
  3. Quite right; in fact all you had to do (in the days of the PS1 when it was first released/still around in games shops) was look at the back of the gamecase - it actually has a picture of Cloud holding a pretty obviously dead Aerith right there. **** knows who thought that was a good idea The PAL version that is (both the platinum and non-platinum versions), so no there's really no excuse for not knowing that one. I liked Heavy Rain myself, but did struggle to get through it on a repeat playthrough when doing some stuff differently.
  4. It took me most of the journey home and this morning as well to come to terms with the fact that we actually lost that game. The dizzying relief at the goal followed by the bewilderment of their 2 goals in such a short space of time afterwards is a very difficult thing to fathom. I went home and went straight to bed to sleep in a daze. It's safe to say I have never felt like that when coming home from a game at VP, and the fact that it might get a lot worse than that is scary to say the least. The fact that this was quite possibly the biggest home game of the season, and the relatively low amount of replies in this thread in comparison to other post-match threads this season is quite indicative. People either just don't give a **** anymore, or can't come to terms with what happened last night. I can't say I blame anyone who feels that way as I'm there myself.
  5. He was clearly injured. Never recovered from the knock he got early in the second half which left him in a heap on the ground. Gosh he didn't half give it a go last night in the first half though. I said on the way to the match to a few people that we'd need someone to turn up in a big way to make a difference, either Zog or Ireland probably...but it was actually Heskey who did what I hoped someone would do. Not that it helped us in the end, mind.
  6. Looks like the women will play Sweden and the men will play Brazil in a 'double header' at the Riverside. Shame it's not at VP, I would have gone to that.
  7. Yeh the new do doesnt suit him tbh I liked his curly hair
  8. For anyone interested/who cares, here it is
  9. No, I think the expected release date is Q3 this year. Got it from a UK seller who had imported it, cost ~£50, but I wasn't prepared to risk getting it cheaper and importing it myself as I've been stung by customs in the past.
  10. I've got I Am Alive, but havent progressed too far into it. It is quite punishing of mistakes, to the point that I actually replayed the first hour and a half from scratch as I had lost all my 'retrys' aka lives. The kind of mistakes you'll make in the early running though are ones that appear to allow you to learn from them so I don't think there will be too many more nasty surprises coming up where I don't know what to do. Computer games being what they are though, if someone points a gun at you, then you point your gun at them and blast their brains out, right? Well, actually, no...that adjustment took a little time to get used to. I'm plodding along very nicely with Tales of Graces f, the story remains free of a world threatening evil which I must say is surprising...pleasantly surprising, that is. The battle system is really, properly, good aswell. Most battles are fast and furious, and the game continually throws challenges at you for even the most mundane of fights, and likewise throws no end of rewards at you for completing them, or just generally for doing, uh, stuff. The item crafting system is decent aswell, it seemed very simple on the surface to me but there seems to be quite some depth to the weapon/armor crafting side of things. And still playing SARPBC Even after over 3 years of near daily play, it still gives me so much pleasure. I scored a quite frankly sick reverse aerial goal the other week which had me literally jumping for joy. I'll have to upload and 'tube it, so you can share my elation ^___^
  11. I see you playing this and I assumed it was a PSN game but I can't find it? Yeh, it's on there. Although I can't remember how much it's going for at the moment...and since they changed the categories for listing the games I'm not sure what you'd find it under. Best bet is to look in 'all games' or whatever it is, then the S's. There's a timed demo available to have a play on, so if you do try it let me know
  12. Just kidding, I hated it. It was just quicker to be sarcastic than actually list all the things wrong with the film.
  13. I went to see Battleship. As a fan of the board game I was really pleased with the way they transferred elements of the game into the movie, it made for quite an exciting and tense affair. I was glad that the action was interrupted by the witty and oft hilarious comedy skits though, they really added an extra dimension to the film. A lot of the talk about the film may be to do with Rihanna in her first feature film appearance - I thought she did a fantastic job along side stellar performances from the likes of Skarsgard and Neeson, and didnt look out of place in the slightest. The plot twisted and turned and kept you guessing all the way, and the soundtrack deserves a mention too. I liked the way that many well known songs were used to subtle effect in ways you may not expect. Overall I would say it is the best alien invasion movie I have ever seen.
  14. If we draw again I am going to scream and scream and scream and scream. If we lose, well, ..
  15. Tee hee cov. I have a few mates and family members how are ST holders and have already renewed for next season. I owe my cousin an away game so will be going to some back end of nowhere shithole with them next season As I reminded most of them on Saturday, though, they've got a good chance of a Wembley trip via the JOHNSTONES **** PAINT rocket polishers CUP MICKEY MOUSE SHEILD TROPHY FOR TEAMS WHO ARE TERRIBLE or whatever it's called now Poor old Walsall though. If they stay up I imagine the legion will pick on them next. I'm just waiting for the day they play a league game against the Boro'. I'm convinced it'll happen eventually. Now that will be a derby they can get their teeth into
  16. I like the kid a lot, a whole lot actually, but I don't think we'll see him and Bent starting together when Bent is back (putting all talk of relegation, x player leaving in the summer, etc. aside), as I'm not quite sure how they'd operate together. There's no doubt he's the 2nd choice striker behind Bent though by a very large distance, and with Heskey surely on he way out in the summer I hope to see a lot more of him next season - even if it isn't playing with Bent. If they did strike up a partnership though I would be over the moon.

    UFC/Pride/MMA

What a great night of fights for you! The card had a bit of everything...and for the swe fans a happy ending too
  18. Tales of Graces f is soooooooooo good. Anyone who has been longing for an RPG of old, with towns & dungeons & interesting NPCs & a properly good battle system, this is it. Easily the best console RPG I've played this gen, it could look better, but I guess that's only to be expected from a Wii port. Also, horror of horrors, (so far at least) the storyline is not a generic 'evil threatens to destory the world and you must save it' fair! EU release later in the year, highly recommend it, especially those people who were yearining for past Final Fantasys when playing FFXIII/2
  19. I watched Cargo, a swiss sci-fi thriller. I have a massive bone on for films set on space stations, so I liked this quite alot.
  20. Slam Collins and Baker right on top of him. We haven't scored from our last 346 corners. Not holding my breath Agree, we should try some more of those far reaching throw-in's that Lichaj can do though. Never seen anyone do those before, pretty impressive. Utd ST holder at work told me yesterday he is worried by the threat posed by Gabby...
  21. hahahahahahahhhaaa love dat car hes cute
  22. Planet of Sound, Treacle, On His Own
  23. As the end of the season gets closer, I think the realisation for a lot of ST holders is quite simply that things arent going to be better next season, so why turn up to every game when we'll have only a handful of wins. If anything they will be worse. I believe our manager will be the same, despite what league we're in, and I don't think we'll see much of a squad 'rebuild' taking place either. The teams coming up are decent sides, and with 3/5 of the worse sides in the league going down this season, next year will be tough for the club, with the state it's in at the moment.
  24. Finished ICO HD last night, they did a pretty good job on it. Some parts still as infuriating as I remember though, that damn 'bouncing platform' jump, and the water wheel just after it are still **** annoying. Now on to Shadow of the Collossus HD, which I enjoyed far more than ICO the first time around
