Same here. He couldn't do anything last season and he'll have a much worse squad this season so it's impossible to see us achieving anything of note while he's in charge.
Is it? We have lost/will lose Johnstone, Terry, Snodgrass, Grealish and there will be little to no money to get new players in. Anyone expecting anything other than a slog to get into the playoffs is going to be disappointed.
It's amazing how inept clubs are at doing transfer business while a world cup is on. We have our own (major) issues but if you look at the big clubs very little transfer business has been done. It was absolute madness to close the transfers in window when the season starts (albeit well intentioned).
I fully expect this season to be a transitional one with the only caveat being if we manage to keep Grealish. If we could keep him then we would have a chance for promotion.
Potential upsides:
1. He's not Steve Bruce
2. He doesn't look like a potato or have a face like a fist.
3. He might not have us playing dinosaur hoofball
4. He looks great in a suit unlike our current co-chairman.
