  1. It's way too narrow and wouldnt work imo. I'd be shocked if we saw that formation at any point this season
  2. I wouldn't let him go, we wouldn't get any transfer fee for him and our squad is very light.
  3. Given that those states have so much oil money that they can't actually spend it having free healthcare and education is the least you would expect.

    Keinan Davis

The more I see of him the more he reminds me of Heskey. A good hold up player who will create chances for those around him but isn't likely to score many goals.
  5. They don't have a C team and barely even a B team. Their squad is terrible and I think we'll finish above them this season.
  6. 1-1 with Rochdale now. Fred and Pogba playing, £150m of "quality" between them.
  7. When I look at our team I see a side that I would expect to be in a relegation battle and finish 16th/15th. I think Sheff Utd. will go down despite their good start and I wouldn't be suprised if Brighton went down too. There's a long, long way to go.
  8. Expected points table which is based on expected goals for and against has us 5th last. We are staying up!
  9. And Ireland. But to be honest I think it's a good thing. The nations league has been a success and the less pointless friendlies the better. It's now groups of 4 so 6 games instead of 4.
  10. What did you expect him to say, "Douglas was out on the piss last night so I left him out of the squad. Apparently he put up photos of himself clubbing on social media".
  11. Too many players in the wall. Poor positioning by the keeper. Jack jumps and turns away from the ball instead of being brave and blocking it.
  12. He probably though he was good when he was at Brentford, West Ham came in for him and then we paid a fortune for him. Unfortunately he isn't good at all and it's probably dawning on him that his career has peaked and he is just going to drift down the leagues to try to find his level or else just retire. If interviewed he'll probably blame injuries as to why he didn't make it at any reasonable level.
  13. Usually I would be the same but when it's only 6 episodes I think they can get away with it. I think this season's story has been better than some of the other seasons where it felt like they were making it up as they went along.
  14. As per usual the storyline isn't great but it's not the main event. The directing, cinematography, production quality and score is what makes it. Some of the scenes are just magnificent. Episode 5 was great, especially the Arthur machine gun scene.
  15. Play the second string and the result is unimportant. We have a huge game against a relegation rival on Saturday, one that we really, really need to win. That game is all that matters.
  16. The more I see of him in the premier league the more I am starting to doubt him. He gives the ball away far too often and doesn't threaten to score enough either. He'll need to improve his passing and goal scoring if he wants to get into the England squad.
  17. This. Like him or loath him he is much better than El Ghazi or Jota.
  18. That's what you get for £80m these days. There just aren't any great defenders available anymore. Look at De Ligt, everyone thought he was the second coming, a bargain at £65m and he's been horrendous for Juve.
  19. They aren't about any long term project. They know they have reached their maximum level so it's just about surviving every year and making as much money as possible. They think that by changing the manager regularly they get enough of a boost from the change to keep them afloat. Of course it's not a long term strategy but they have done okay to survive in the top flight for so long. Hopefully this is the year that is comes unstuck for them as we could do with another team that will finish below us.
  20. Their recruitment has been appalling in the last few years and that's the root of the probelm. Couple that with keeping poor players like Jones, Smalling, Lingaard all on huge wages and you have a serious disaster. They need to get Ponchettino in next summer and give him £250m to spend. That might get them back in the champions league.
  21. This is pretty much it. If you want to make use of a man advantage you have to be able to retain possession. We didn't learn from the loss at Spurs and did the same thing yesterday versus Arsenal, sat back and let the opponent have the ball with the inevitable result.
  22. He looks about as sharp as a wet sock. He'll be a huge flop.
