I agree with that, one of his better games. I think he was let down by Gestede's limited movement up front and Gardner by the side of him.

He's let down by a pretty non-existent midfield in Gardner & Westwood We also depended on his aerial dominance more today due to Baker being injured and Elphick and Chester not having the size to compete. Last few games he's been one of our best player... replace him? Don't be daft

I agree, if Bruce is going to persist with Kodjia out wide then we need a striker who knows where the back of the net is up front. McCormack full of confidence should be that man. It also stops us continuing giving Gabby and Gestede game time

So annoying! Gestede is a complete waste up front. Kodjia is being wasted out on the left. Gardner and Westwood are a non existent midfield, Bacuna or Grealish would give much more of an attacking outlet through the middle. Gabby Agbonlahor is a waste of oxygen. Spunked too many chances up the wall as usual.

I would take Gestede off now, whether we put Gabby on up top to stretch the game a bit, or move Kodjia up top and put Ayew or Grealish out left.. Kodjia seems wasted out left, he's spending more time tracking back than attacking as he should be.

Gollini is slowly turning into a very good keeper, and this is coming through starting games consistently. To go out and buy a 'more experienced keeper' right now would be madness. There are areas of the side that need improving in January and our keeper is not one of them. Midfielders, a right back and possibly a left winger should be priorities with whatever funds we have left without breaking FFP.

Westwood had a poor first half today but played well in the second. I don't understand the hatred for him on this site. He is one of the best midfielders we have (out of only 4 or 5) and so he will be selected most weeks until we strengthen the position.

Glad to see Palace struggling whilst Benteke is still putting the ball into the back of the net. Be nice to see them struggle in a relegation battle for the season then Xia can bring Benteke back next season...

How has Adomah been voted MOTM in this thread?! His first touch was awful and he was absent for the majority of the game bar his goal. Jedinak, Amavi & Baker were all outstanding once again today. Poor performance but a comfortable win, on to the next one. Closing that gap!

He hasn't looked fit so far this season. Hopefully over the last few weeks he has got his fitness back up and he can come into the team all guns blazing.

Seems pretty fair to me, to get the best out of him you need to adapt your formation to suit his playing style. He need's to try to fit into our new formation as best he can for the remainder of the season, whether that's playing in the midfield, playing out wide, or playing up top with wide players supporting.

First season I only made two signings, I brought in John Ruddy as I found Gollini was making a few mistakes pre season. 2nd season Gollini has stepped up to be number one. Also brought in Matty James for centre midfield. The team is pretty strong as it is to win promotion as you long as you get a formation working early on. Ayew banged goals in for fun whereas I found Kodjia would have games where he was useless. Gestede was rubbish.

Gabby has a point to prove as much as RHM has a point to prove. I would much rather we are giving RHM the time on the pitch to prove he has got what it takes for this club than giving Gabby another shot. Gabby at his best was fast, for the last few years he hasn't been and with the added weight and lack of footballing brain this has shown. RHM is fast, he also has a footballing brain and during pre-season he looked brilliant. The kid is a younger version of Gabby and could potentially be better than him. I hope we don't go down the route of selling off a youth prospect just to give a player who has let us down for years be given another opportunity.

Also watched Arrival last night, halfway through I thought it was brilliant.... By the end I put it down as an average movie, As everyone has said it could have been so much more.
