The fact is it was a completely unnecessary booking, the majority of the time if you kick the ball away you will get a card. -
One thing that always annoys me slightly at home games is that with all the screens around Villa Park they never display the line up on any of them prior to kick off, this may just be me though as for some reason my phone never seems to want to work in the Holte Suite or in the Holte End. If they could start showing them on a few of the screens, or just on a bar running across the bottom that would be great.

With one of the most expensive teams assembled in this league there is no way we should be playing a 3 man back line at home. Kodjia is our top goalscorer and has to play, he needs to start working on a partnership with Hogan.

It's sad but it's now got to the stage where I just want to finish above Blues with a run of decent performances before the end of the season. Playoffs are now out of the question in my opinion.

We desperately need Jedinak back to sit in front of the defence to release Lansbury to sit next to Hourihane. The balls Lansbury plays forward are great but he is being pre-occupied with the defensive side of the game.

What a ridiculous post. You could honestly predicted that Bruce wouldn't have worked out when he joined? The large majority of fans wanted him in. To blame Xia for not spending money on a manager after the amount he has invested in this team is crazy.

Feel so sorry for Tony, he's done everything we could ask of him since taking over, granted the initial management decision wasn't great but Bruce was a favoured choice by most of the fans. He's backed both managers with transfer funds, signed some of the top players in the division. Listened to the fans throughout, making changes to off the field aspects of the club. The bloke deserves a lot more than Aston Villa Football Club.

No we didn't get the result today because of poor tactics and poor substitutions. Against that Forest side with the players we have we should have been cruising by the time Grealish was sent off, even with Johnstone's mistake. Then after the sending off he should never have taken both strikers off as it just invites pressure on ourselves resulting in their winning goal. I'm not even a football manager and it was all just so glaringly obvious.

I would get rid of him now, we have nothing left to play for this season so we may as well get someone in who can get the team playing actual football. He started well but I think anyone could have improved on RDM.

Ridiculous that we've chucked a young keeper out on loan to get some experience and then brought in a young keeper from another side to gain experience... Strangest logic We can all see we need an experienced keeper in this back line

I like the team, I just hope Bree and Bjarnason can get back to help out all game as well as providing some width going forward. Green is unlucky to miss out but with this formation he wouldn't be defensively solid enough. Amavi would suit LWB but has been a bit of a liability the past few weeks. Hey it can't be any worse than Tuesday... Can it?

This for me, a manager can't realistically be slated until he's had a chance to bring his own players in. He's now done this during the January window, we need to allow him more than one game to get his side playing properly together. The poor form of late has been a worry but we aren't going to get playoffs this year and so we should be looking at giving the man till the end of the season to show what he's all about with a team of players he wants playing for him.

Makes me laugh, if we had brought someone else in instead of Bruce people would be slating Xia and the board for not bringing Bruce in when he was available. The guys at the top are doing everything they can to turn this club around, unfortunately its going to take more than a season to do it given the dramatic nose dive we have experienced over the last 5 years.

Best player for us last night, not that it says much. Had absolutely no help from Amavi and on the occasions that he got it Amavi quickly lost possession.

Amavi has been the worst player on the pitch, closely followed by Hutton and Bjarnason. Lansbury started well, as soon as they started marking him he dissapeared. We've now started booting it forward. This could become embarrasing

Get rid of RMC on loan at the very least. Toxic to the club, we need everyone pulling in the same direction for the remainder of the season. Two up front if Bruce needs it but we can revert to one up front if an injury happens. Never thought I would say it but Gabby playing off Kodjia wouldn't be the end of the world if it is needed (Also what I think we will see tonight)

Buzzing for today, it's nice to actually be excited for a transfer deadline day for a change. Along with a chance to see some of our new signings in action tonight. Let's leave the Benteke links out today though, as much as we all want him back we know it's not happening! Hogan will do nicely!
