    We would have a bigger squad though. The Sky 6 play in Europe every year and still (usually) finish in the European places again. If you are looking for proof of a manager who can compete in Europe and also in the league than there is no better example than Emery. Add to that the fact that our owners are willing to spend the required funds to build a solid squad and there's no reason at all why we wouldn't be able to handle it. Let's just get there first and then I'm absolutely certain we will be able to compete on multiple fronts. It's all part of the plan after all.

    It actually was in fairness. He wouldn't be playing for us if he had stayed and so he might as well not play for Chelsea on 100k a week than not play for us on 20k.

    You know you are doing something right when you win and Dorris the tea lady has a shout for MOTM. Can't think of any stand out performances but after the week we've had, to win and keep a clean sheet is very impressive.

    There's no way Duran is ready to start. He needs a loan out next season but for now a few cameos is fine. Whilst there is a chance to qualify for Europe, however unlikely, we shouldn't be starting fringe players.

    They lied to the government about not being government owned in order to get your disgraceful owners through the back door. Every football fan in the country will see any success Newcastle have going forward as not only immoral to the highest degree but also invalid. It will be a very shallow success and would count for absolutely nothing outside of Newcastle.

    That's the trouble with unrealistic expectations, people get disappointed when it inevitably doesn't happen. We we were never going to be in the top 4 race and I think we will finish about 8th or 9th.
