I was at Anfield yesterday and thought they were very good in the 2nd half and really should have won it. Even the crowd was up for it as the atmosphere was surprisingly very good. There seems to be a belief amongst their fan base that they can go unbeaten throughout the rest of the season and whilst I'm not sure they'll do that, I fully expect them to kick on and qualify for Europe. It was always going to be a tough ask to qualify for Europe from where we were when Emery came in and so if we end up 8th or 9th, that'd be quite a brilliant turnaround. I've never really thought we were in the race and in a way we are in a false position given other teams games in hand, but we are definitely in the mix. Even that is a huge surprise, whether we get there or not.

It's getting ridiculous how "street" everything is getting. Even the announcers between programmes on BBC, Channel 4 etc. It's gone all: "Comin up next on da tv is a wicked show bruv, ya get me".

Why is everyone raving about Haalands 2nd goal? On MOTD, on 606.... It was a good goal but was just an overhead kick. Not a particularly spectacular one at that, as far as overhead kicks go. Yes it was a good goal as is any scored that way, but the fawning over ot is a bit OTT and wasn't close to being as good as SJMs at Chelsea or Berties winner at Leicester.

I want them to drop so that we can sign Harvey Barnes. Absolutely brilliant player and exactly what we need. If they do go down there will be a fair few of theor players in high demand such as Barnes, Maddison, Ndidi etc....

We would have a bigger squad though. The Sky 6 play in Europe every year and still (usually) finish in the European places again. If you are looking for proof of a manager who can compete in Europe and also in the league than there is no better example than Emery. Add to that the fact that our owners are willing to spend the required funds to build a solid squad and there's no reason at all why we wouldn't be able to handle it. Let's just get there first and then I'm absolutely certain we will be able to compete on multiple fronts. It's all part of the plan after all.

It actually was in fairness. He wouldn't be playing for us if he had stayed and so he might as well not play for Chelsea on 100k a week than not play for us on 20k.

You know you are doing something right when you win and Dorris the tea lady has a shout for MOTM. Can't think of any stand out performances but after the week we've had, to win and keep a clean sheet is very impressive.

There's no way Duran is ready to start. He needs a loan out next season but for now a few cameos is fine. Whilst there is a chance to qualify for Europe, however unlikely, we shouldn't be starting fringe players.
