  1. Aston Villa; ruining Saturdays and Tuesdays since 2012.
  2. We need to face it that our team is just bang average? Haha! As Huddersfield go and win 3-0 away in the Premier League - something that we can't do in the Championship. I dont like Newcastle United but by god do they support their team and manager, even in the bad times! They haven't really had it that hard have they in recent years - whenever they get relegated they pretty much win the league the following year. Oh and by the way, we're about the worst away team in Europe over the last two years, so to be taking close to 5K fans to another country for a league game is absolutely astonishing.
  3. Not too sure. I just watch the youtube compilations.
  4. Was the last time we scored 4 goals that game at Sunderland?
  5. The "enjoy hun" comments that invariably follow.
  6. Going out for a well-deserved vino (or two!) with the girlies tonight. Would be rude not to! #vinos #girlies #bffs I mean seriously, when the f**k did people start talking like that?
  7. But we have to win 3 out of 4 of our home games. Even if we are twice as good away from home this season, that only gives us about 35 points. And that's a big if by the way, a big shift in culture. Not beating Hull means that we now need to win our next three home games, irrespective of opposition. There needs to be a real reason why we don't win home games this season e.g. our teams decimated by injuries/suspension, playing other automatic promotion favourite, playing team who has won six in a row etc. I don't see a reason as to why we didn't beat Hull.
  8. Bad result yesterday, no two ways about it. For automatic promotion we need to win two-thirds of our games. Draws absolutely need to be viewed as defeats by everyone at the club. There is no good draw this season.
  9. Onomah and Adomah? Anyone remember that Gavin and Stacey seen with Nessa?
  10. Patel's t20 bowling figures must be among the best around over the last few years.
  11. Well that's that then, another £12 million written off. Send him out on loan to MK Dons. Just praying that Gabby starts scoring regularly......
  12. Surely Hogan needs to be starting. He’d scored about 20 in 30 iirc for Brentford before we bought him. Also, that was in this division, so he’ll be familiar with the places we play, opposition defenders etc.
  13. Agree on the whole but the problem is, we score a goal a game and Newcastle score two goals a game, so there's far less margin for error on our part to come out with a victory. The goal scoring problem doesnt look to have changed across pre season either. Taking out the games against non-league teams, we still havent scored much more than a goal a game against an average opposition of what? a really poor championship side. Agbonlahor on his own up top doesnt help that obviously. Apologies going off topic here.
  14. Really hits home just how amazing that Leicester title win was. They cruised it too. Absolutely phenomenal.
  15. Out of interest, was Gabby offered a testimonial?
  16. No. He's averaged about 4 goals per season for the last 7 years. I dont see why as a 31 year old he's suddenly going to start rattling them in.
  17. This is my slight concern with his arrival. Our defence was one of the few plus points last season. On average, we conceded ten goals fewer than each of the four playoff teams. We dont want to rock the defensive boat at all. Offensively though of course we were woeful, and where the focus should be. Scored near enough the same as the three relegated teams and Blues as i recall.
  18. Leicester sign Hull defender Maguire for £17 million! Seriously, only a matter of years before we see the first £1billion player isn't it, couple of decades maybe? Is there anything that could stop the rising transfer fees?
  19. Yep, I realise that it’s the England and Wales cricket board, but the team is hardly littered with Welsh players is it, are there any? And there’s what, one county out of twenty that play in the county championship? I just thought it strange that half the England games have been played in Wales.
  20. Can someone please remind me of the current rules around inclusion of a set number of British players in a teams match day squad (if there is at all). And if it differs with Championship? I was listening to a phone in around the impact of foreign players on homegrown talent, and wasn't sure if any sort of ruling still stood.
  21. Why is the England game being played in Wales again?
  22. Sorry, but who has said that all muslims hate us?
