Wasnt sure where to put this. My five year old lad just said to me, "Daddy, it was national girls day today. When is it national boys day?" Tricky.
  6. Na, we want a Blues win. I'd quite happily see Blues finish mid-table if it meant them beating all the teams around us.
  7. You simply cant keep a good Gresford down!
  8. Bit off topic, but on away support in general. Two stats I'd be fascinated to know by the end of the season (not sure whether they are made available): 1) Average Championship away support versus average Premier League support - My thinking is that now more than ever we have bigger travelling clubs in the championship e.g. Villa, Leeds, Wolves, Sheff W etc, and smaller in the Prem e.g. Swansea, Bournemouth, West Brom, Stoke etc. Also, with smaller clubs in the Premier League, they are only typically offering small away allocations e.g. Bournemouth, Swansea etc. are now more than 1500 on average. While championship clubs offer 4-5000 e.g. Preston, Sheff W, Fulham, Barnsley, Bolton etc. 2) Total championship away support v total premier league away support. This is slightly unfair given that there are more teams and more games in the Championship, but what a stat that would be! More away fans travelling to Championship games than Premier League games over the course of a season.
  9. I'm a bit hypocritical when it comes to boxing. I follow it, and like watching it when its on, but then cant understand how its still allowed to take place in this day and age. The entertainment of two men belting the shit out of eachothers heads until ones unconscious. And they want to ban ring girls?
  10. Also, we will have taken an average of 5000 to the three games either side of Sunderland. So 1500-2000 for this isnt to be sniffed at.
  11. With us not playing today too. Got to be a win.
  12. Are Sunderland going ahead do we know? I appreciate theyre poor, but if we get a rest today ahead of Tuesday then all the better.
  13. Its a shame if called off, but cant see it being safe myself. Really want to be playing these after their last display. Would be annoying to face them when theyre on a good run, or alternativelty if they need points having fallen towards the bottom.
  14. Sports biscuits were always the best to dip in a cup of tea. You know the ones with those stickmen on them playing a sport. Is that one skiing? No, its hockey.
  15. Is Mark Lawrenson just anti-football? He sounds like somebody who was against it from the start but because its his job to commentate on it, he has to semi entertain it.
  16. Anyone come across Barry Welsh? Fishguard, Coracle, Animal Rescue Squad etc.
  17. Anybody seen any odds for us not to finish in playoffs or go up automatically? We must be nailed on for a playoff spot now.
  18. Surely we want Bristol City to win this? I wouldnt have thought Bristol City will go up to the Premier League automatically from here.
  19. Great time to play them too. Conceded 5 at home to Nottingham Forest today. No ones done that since the 80s.
  20. Do we want Wolves to beat Fulham, I'm confused.
  21. So wish his name was spelt like that. I cant think of a cooler name. Sounds like an Irish gangster with Russian connections.
  22. I dont bother with Macdonalds anymore. Always walk out feeling half sick and still hungry. Strange, as used to love it.
  23. Ye, that sounds rediculous. Sunderland playing Fleetwood prob sounds more mad to me as i went to watch Solihull Borough play at Fleetwood about ten years ago.
