    Losing six fixtures is not ideal. Hopefully there’s friendlies added to make up for lost match time. I guess the good news is that we can’t get relegated!

    I can’t see us getting that much in a million years. The only thing going in Preece’s favour here, is that he called that Wesley was off to Spain a good week or so before it actually happened. So maybe he does have inside information here. It’s entirely irrelevant though, as there’s no chance a club like Levante could afford that much.

    Mings as club captain, Martinez as vice captain for whenever Mings isn’t selected, which is a possibility this season.

    Sounds like the pitch is very much waterlogged, and it’s going to affect the game a lot. Shame.

    We could’ve scored about six. And that’s being conservative. Second half performance much better. Young has brought some dynamism, skill and pace to our game.

    If he doesn’t want to sign a new contract, I’d be actively trying to sell him. We’re not at the stage yet where we can let players with £25m value leave on a free transfer, especially when he’s mostly been average-decent, and I do appreciate him being played ‘out of position’. We could cash in and get a midfielder that’s probably more suited to the way Gerrard wants to play. I’m also happy if he signs a new contract, but letting him run it down whilst still playing him is a big no for me.

    If he’s going to a second tier team, I’m disappointed it’s not in the Championship. How are going to track his WhoScored rating now? @Hornsois fuming.

    Not signing any more players is fine, but don’t expect top 10 if we don’t. Regardless of outs, we need another quality midfielder. Anything else can wait, but one more quality midfielder and there’s even a decent chance of 7th.

    They should’ve made it more obvious that each subscription was per season, rather than exactly one year from point of payment.

    Also worth noting that we now have 5 subs, as we mention a lot. Inter always replace the wing backs in game due to how much running they do, and with us planning on using Digne a lot for our attacks, Augustinsson will get more minutes than you imagine. Nothing but positive about this, and saves the bulk of the budget for a top class centre midfielder.

    Would be a wise signing. Few million for wage and fee for the year, and gives Chrisene the chance for first team football for a season. Maybe the plans changed once they had a good look at him this week, and decided splashing loads on a younger backup wasn’t required.

    Does anyone know if the friendlies can be watched back at any time? I’m really keen to watch them all, but the Leeds and Rennes games aren’t at a good time for me, so being able to watch them the next day is a deal breaker for me.
