That was a fantastic super bowl, most entertaining in a while. Like others have said, I think it helps that both QBs were easy to root for. A bit of an anticlimactic ending, it’s a shame the refs started throwing flags to basically guarantee LA to score the game winning TD. I thought some of those were questionable calls, particularly the holding. On to next year, where the Vikings will win the Super Bowl.

There used to be more of a role for it. Hockey’s a physical game, and the only thing preventing someone from intentionally hurting the other team’s best player(s) is that he knows that he’d end up in a fight later against the other team’s biggest goon. Much less physical now so the need for basically a designated fighter on your team is essentially gone.

I’d like to see Ings get a start on Sunday. Watkins is clearly not on the same page as Coutinho or Buendia, so hopefully Ings’ more natural striker instinct works better.

This is pretty tough to watch. I have no idea if he has a problem as I’m not privy to his life, for all I know he drinks a few times per year and it just always happens to get caught on camera. But it’s getting to the point where I’m not remotely surprised that these sorts of videos keep coming out. Ffs, at the very least you have plenty of money - host people at your house instead of falling over outside a night club. I’m just hoping someone is looking out for his well-being, because if nobody is and this actually is a problem, the likely way it would end is in legal troubles or rehab (or both). It also makes me curious about English youth football culture (I have zero idea what it’s like). But it would be a massive shame if this is all happening because he watched the likes of Gabby and co. as a youngster at the club. Surely we have a professional team in our academy to keep the youth in line if they would ever start getting starry eyed at some less than ideal role models on the senior squad.

I’ll throw my hat in the ring as another who is trying to break a borderline addiction with alcohol. I’m just over 100 days sober - with the exception of our trip to England where the Mrs and me both broke our sobriety. 30 days sober can be a monster hill to climb for many, but as others have mentioned it can be a start to a new life for some people. 30 days may lead to 60, 100, 365, and so on.
