  1. I’m the opposite. Should always be singular. A team is a singular entity
  2. i know it’s a friendly, but my local MLS club just beat Everton 4-0… yikes
  3. Keep your chin up. Happy that you admitted it. Recovery is really tough, not usually a straight path. Keep fighting the good fight
  4. 11:35 PM for me. I’d seriously consider it if I didn’t work in the morning.
  5. I wear an XL in Kappa, although it’s a little bit of a tight squeeze. Am i good to order an XL in Castore, or should I go Large?
  6. I don’t understand it. Brum is top class. The locals just can’t grasp it. And it’s not just a joke on VT, I was talking to locals on my trip over and they were like “anywhere is better than here.” **** no, it’s not. Just look around! It’s bloody beautiful.
  7. The club is sponsored by the city?
  8. Think we played last pre-season’s first friendly in training gear
  9. Villa Live is my favorite part of this. I had zero reason to go to VP outside of match day when I visited. Would absolutely love a reason to go see the Villa museum, get some good food, have a pint, even watch an away match.
  10. I (obviously) follow the Big Ten more closely, but I think they go to a pod system similar to what the NFL does with divisions. 4 pods of 4 teams, with the winner of the two western pods and the winner of the two Eastern pods playing in a semifinal, and the two winners of that game meeting for the Big Ten championship.
  11. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/big-ten-aims-to-have-new-media-rights-deal-worth-up-to-1-billion-in-place-around-memorial-day/amp/ Here’s an article for anyone interested. The Big Ten was set to sign a TV deal worth over $1 billion per year, which means around $70 million per school, per year. They haven’t signed the contract yet though, and the addition of USC & UCLA will drive that price up even more. If the Big Ten expands any further, they will add schools that continue to raise the bar for what they can demand from TV networks.
  12. It’s going to end up with 2 football superconferences, the Big Ten and the SEC. Even among the Power 5 conferences (Big Ten, SEC, ACC, PAC 12, Big 12), the Big Ten and SEC are the two big dogs. It all has to do with money generated by TV revenue. The Big Ten & SEC generate crazy amounts of money from TV deals. It started with Oklahoma & Texas to the SEC, with the Big Ten countering by adding USC & UCLA yesterday. It sounds like the Big Ten isn’t done either. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Oregon, Washington, and/or Notre Dame jump into the conference within the next couple of weeks. I would expect the SEC to counter by adding a couple more noteworthy schools (North Carolina pops to mind). As the Big Ten and SEC continue to cannibalize other conferences, their TV deals become even more valuable while the value of other conference’s TV rights will dwindle.
  13. He’s going to be under insane pressure. But by accounts he’s also insanely good.
  14. I buy one every year and wear it every match I watch, which is either alone or just with Mrs MNVillan in our living room. Gives me a sense of connection to the club, even though it’s 9 AM local time and I’m thousands of miles away from VP.
  15. This is bloody brilliant. Mind if I share on Twitter - of course would give you credit if you’re on there as well
  16. I’m with you. Star not needed. Looks weird.
  17. The “map” shirts rarely look good, imo. The third kit we had a couple of years ago that was supposed to highlight the different areas around Brum just looked like a used rag. There’s too much detail involved to make it look nice
  18. Yeah, I was there. Unfortunately not cheering for Denver though
  19. Clearly you haven’t heard of the Las Vegas Villans
  20. The Avalanche win the Stanley Cup. Same owner as Arsenal
  21. Bingo. After reading through everything, it seems they’re leaning towards something like this.
