  1. Quite lucky that, but to quote the great 99, "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take"
  2. Heart says 2-0 win. Head says 8-8 draw.
  3. Think a situation where he scores so much his value is beyond is, that would be classified as one of those good problems.
  4. I just think Green is a more direct kind of player who isn't that comfortable with possession football. Just my impression so far, but I'd love it if I were wrong.
  5. Really? I think he's a Bruce'esque player. I don't think he'd work in a DS system at all.
  6. Tbf, he kept going top class with a bunch of bang average players. Think people have watched shite for so long they have forgotten what a good midfielder looks like.
  7. For some reason I completely trust DS in the transfer market. Not sure why, just have a good feeling about it. And I can honestly say that's the first time I've felt that about a Villa manager. Pretty sure DS has a solid overview of potentially good buys from the lower divisions. Will be nice to buy some reasonably priced talent instead of the overpaid dross we've signed the last 10 years. Bruce deserves credit for McGinn though. More of that please.
  8. Amazing how the whole attitude and belief around the club has changed. From the players to the fans. Winning mentality all around. Love it.
  9. This is always the feeling you get with GK's that aren't up for it to be fair.
  10. I've always thought his main flaw was timing and positioning. In his early days he tended to get caught out and if he recovered it was with a crazy tackle. But be always had effort. It seems however he has gotten more aware positionally, especially at left back, and he is without a doubt one of our best players IMO. Ofc. he will have the odd blunder, but I can only think of Chester, McG, Grealish to be the players I name faster for a position in the first eleven.
  11. I lost most need rolls to be fair. Except the halo the only bitterness I feel is against the idiot who balanced the druid/warrior in arena. That mortal strike and cyclone bullshit made my blood boil. I guess also the amount of times Dan and Gone pulled aggro, only for me to heal them, they vanish, I get aggro, die, and they were laughing. That almost made me quit the game.
  12. Not so sure about that. From my memory football players have been going strong the same amount of time since the dawn of time. Pele played until his late 30s IIRC. It's always been 30-40 depending on luck and genetics. Aerobic condition and nutrition doesn't have a whole lot to do with it IMO.
  13. It's not really the aerobic fitness that is a problem. It's knees, anchles, wear and tear. You can't fix that no matter what you do. I've stopped playing football completely myself at the age of 34, and while it's hard to compare someone like me in football to Cahill, it's no coincidence I think that I start having problems with injuries and my body in the age where most footballers retire.
  14. I agree to extent, but experienced players can be important as well. I normally am dead against these sort of signings as it offers no long term thinking and little resale value from player development. I was probably one of the few who didn't like the idea of Terry signing. I was proved wrong, and I think Cahill would be another pretty astute signing.
  15. Could be 45 and I'd still have him in rotation. Sweet Jesus, we are using Jedinak in there!
  16. I think the real tragedy was that I was sick, had an exam or something, and couldn't raid. The Halo dropped and Sam got it. And he never shuts up about it!
  17. I think it's a great game. But I agree with the player valuations and trying to make deals. It's bonkers. I offered a nothing club in portugal £ 55 million for a completely unknown youth player. Was declined and said to bump it to 100 something with 40% sell on. This was after the initial bidding started at £ 2.5 million.
  18. Yup. Just watched it. Two things. 1) **** me dps had it easy in those raids. Nays running around chatting. As a healer you had the shittest job of being forced to time mana pot cycling or the raid would wipe. No time to relax what so ever. 2) The amount of dimwits in that raid group. I think 10 players were carried through that Neffy kill and I am not even joking. Some of those warriors were incredibly shite. But we actually did really well for a group of old bastards. Remember we went from that Neffy kill to downing the first boss in AQ40. I actually think we got really good at that point. Makes me remember some of the players though. Gaiana and Gorthauer were a laugh. Now where is Irish J?
  19. Yes sir. I am 99% sure our Neffy kill is still on YouTube.
  20. I just don't get what he's good at. Honestly wanted him to succeed, but he never did anything to suggest he had talent.
  21. How do you play it? I normally start one save for each team I like. But this is the first time I've started a "manager save" where I intend to just go where the offers are. Just a shame there isn't a financial side where you can see your wages etc. accumulate haha.
  22. Was the window open? Sorry, that was awful
