  1. How bad does this lad have to be if Jedinak is a better option for the CB role?
  2. I wonder when enough is enough tbh. How many losses and bad performances will be be allowed the upcoming months?
  3. Yup. I won't claim he is a good manager, but I think it's kinda unreasonable to judge managers whom don't get a fair shot at getting it right. Sherwood did have some backing (Richards, Veretout, Gana, Amavi etc.), but whether it was players he wanted I'm not so sure. Remember he went on about wanting Aaron Lennon. Ultimately I think he should have gotten more time to be judged to the degree he is. Garde is the same story for me. I won't slate Bruce too hard yet, as I thought we played some very decent football this season, well prior to the Sheffield match. But ultimately he has had solid backing and needs to get us promoted and I'm not convinced he will. He's just too negative for my liking. And his squad selections are just baffling at times.
  4. As a Norwegian I've watched him loads and while I never rated him highly, he certainly is a lot better than the impression people have of him so far. Give him a bit of time with an established defence and you would see him in a different light.
  5. Might be stepping into the worlds biggest shitstorm here, but I quite liked Sherwood. The football was shite, but he wasn't given a lot of time and he was one of the very few football managers since JG that talked up the club like it deserves. I don't think he's a good manager by any stretch, but considering his behaviour and how quickly he was pushed out I have no problem with him. I'll also add that this is why I've found the support for Steve Bruce so ridonkulous. He has been given 4(?) transfer windows, plenty of cash, a great squad in a lower division, and still he can't get us playing good football. By every metric I can think of we should have had automatic promotion last year and the very least this year, yet by the looks of it that's not likely. Paul Lambert has a bad reputation on here as well, but he did keep us a float with much less in a far better division. Continuity is important, but at least try and assess the relative performances. What Steve Bruce has achieved here is not impressing whatsoever. When he ultimately is sacked I will have a far worse impresssion of Bruce than any manager since DOL, probably even worse than DOL as well.
  6. I'm not utterly against the idea of Arteta. He is definately an advocate for the football we should be moving towards. Probably very hungry to prove himself and during the Arsenal rumours the players didn't seem to have an issue with it, which speaks volumes. He's also gone the grades some what with his coaching badges etc. and generally comes across as a very professional person. I'm not saying he's the best we can get, but he certainly would be a very interesting pick. And I'm 100% sure he would have us playing better football than Steve Bruce. Not a doubt in my mind.
  7. I've always thought organisation is more a coaching thing. Leadership on the pitch is one thing, but we got that covered in defence. Organisation in my opinion, is what happens on BMH on week days. I'd also argue we look less organised with Jedinak there, simply because he isn't a good CB. My impression is that Jedinak gambles on his positioning a lot, which often leads to Chester being dragged out of position to cover. Now if your argument is that Terry is a much better CB than Jedinak, then yes, I fully agree. ?
  8. I still don't get why Suliman isn't playing CB over Jedinak.
  9. No point sacking him if we don't have alternatives lined up. Hopefully the result is enough for the club to get the short list sorted.
  10. I like the idea of Big Sam, but I just can't handle more hoofball.
  11. Time for a change unfortunately. No way back for him now. Might as well sack him after the match.
  12. Can someone give me an update on our window? Did we sign a CB? What happened the last week or so? After Bolasie signed I'm blank.
  13. Lets hope Bruce can keep the football flowing, like we've done our last two league matches. We might have drawn both of them, but the football has been quite entertaining. Just need to keep going and hope Kodjia gets his head out of his ****. Apparently I'm cooking for some veggie women tonight, so I have to go out and buy vegetables and whatever you cook food with. Apparantly I need a rolling pin, where ever that's found. Should be interesting. Ok, blog over. UTV.
  14. Lets just hope the club has lined-up, well-thought-out, candidates if we were to make a change. And their pref. backroom staff for that matter.
  15. Ciao. Norwegian Villan. Likes: the mug house inn in Bewdley, brunettes, Hutton on left back and almonds. Oh, and The Rolling Stones. Dislikes. Sweden, Denmark, coins of any sort and my 11 PM weed smoking neighbour.
