  1. No it's a windows thing for me. I couldn't find the start button on Linux ?
  2. I will probably get abuse from the tech squad now, but I bought a Dell XPS 13 for basic stuff in life, and it's very very good IMO. Excellent for travelling and a fantastic screen. Will consider Chrome book for my next lap though.
  3. What happened to Irish Jay ? He was a craic and a half
  4. It's weird how many memories I have from this game. Actually remember the very first day logging on. Spawning in a crypt and thought that first town you came to was massive. Shitting myself when that elite werewolf came after me in that next area. Swear I could keep going on with a wall of text. Quite impressed how we handled the 40 man raids when half the people didn't talk on ventrilo.
  5. Still remember not getting my halo, like ever. Onyxia was such a clearing in the woods. Also wonder how many runs we did for that Scholomance staff for Nays. Must have been hundreds. Was reading up on this again now and I had totally forgotten about Zul Gurub.
  6. It's weird how the more you hear from and about DS the more you like him.
  7. Still remember my first PvP experience in that place next to the Barrens. Wasn't sure whether to shit myself or kill that other bloke. Must have had a heart rate of 200. Then Nays showed me the battlegrounds. **** me it was fun back in Vanilla.
  8. Youth develop at different stages. And almost all of them develop the most when exposed to lots of first team football, which Callum wouldn't have got with us, so the entire discussion is just not worth having. The real question is why he doesn't get first team football with us. What you should be annoyed at is why shite managers for us sign expensive senior players, while not giving our own youths more first team football. We've done this the wrong way for such a long time. But especially now in the championship it's inexuseable. Signing injury prone Hogan for crazy money and getting rid of Callum for peanuts. Yup, makes sense.
  9. Alright then, good you cleared that up. By the very definition of that he's one of the best players we have. Unless the idea here is that you don't put your best players in your first eleven.
  10. relative /ˈrɛlətɪv/ adjective 1. considered in relation or in proportion to something else. "the relative effectiveness of the various mechanisms is not known" synonymer: comparative, respective, comparable, correlative, parallel, corresponding, reciprocal "the relative importance of each factor"
  11. Oh it's definately harsh. But after watching football for 30 years and having hands on experience with young players getting crocked, I would be very surprised if he went on to become a first team player for us. You stagnate and don't progress a lot when you are injury ridden as young. From my experience anyway. But if he proves me wrong I'll gladly get his name on my shirt.
  12. Player valuation does my head in. Even for absolute dogshit youths you are taken to the cleaners. And btw. is there a way to stop my DOF signing players for my U23? I've got a 3 million quid budget and my DOF signed an utter shite U23 CM for £ 900 k. Made me livid.
  13. It's all relative though. You may say he's not a very good player, but he's still one of the better ones we got. If anyone claim we have better left back options, I'd love to be informed.
  14. Agreed. I think his LB contribution has been phenomenal. I used to be very critical of him in the Prem. Remember having this discussion with one of the Bewdley lads. And I've got to admit he was right and I was wrong. He makes the occational blunder like every other player we got, but next to Chester and Grealish, he's probably the first player I'd field. How anyone can't recognize his contributions the last two years is beyond me.
  15. I agree with Zatman, but I'd also add that your analogy isn't that good IMO. Firstly the compensation you get is too low. Secondly in business you can normally compete with giving your best employees bonuses and salary bumps. In football isn't a level playing field at all. City and the likes can throw Exeters entire annual budget on the family of a given 17 year old. This simply doesn't happen in business. At least not in the engineering field I work.
  16. Sorry to rage about this, but how this works in modern football pisses me off. Just not how it should be.
  17. Yeah I got a DoF. I quite like the game, but if I'm allowed one little moan, I think the player valuations are a bit bonkers. Making an offer for a 17 year old unknown Italian player (who plays for a team I've never heard of), with a valuation of £ 30 k. I offer £ 150 k. They counter with £ 30 million. Like what the feck.
  18. That's fair enough, and I'm not defending him. I'm just saying I remember people hating on Gollini for other stuff in regards to his ability. People just don't have patience in this game anymore, especially young people I guess.
  19. Won the cup and promotion from Norwegian 2nd div, then got a job offer from Reading as a head coach. Not a manager. No idea what the difference is, but pretty solid career move ?
  20. Would've thought Gollini was a more suitable comparison to De Gea, but people hounded him out as well.
  21. That's fair enough, just know you'd be wrong.
  22. Sorry but this is a lie or rubbish, or both. Hutton's ability to advance forward has been one of our key attacking threats for quite some time. You might not like it, but it definately has had massive benefits to our attacking game, well it did under Bruce anyway.
