Isn't it likely the media is full of shit in regards to that quote. Why would he state something that he knows is a lie and knows will be fact checked by everyone with a smart phone? It doesn't make sense.

I don't care about giving credit to anyone atm. Just feels weird to me. If they already har feelers out towards Smith or anyone else in terms of replacing Bruce I wouldn't find it surprising if the scouting department suggested players that could fit other tactics than hoofball. When you look at the other midfielders Bruce wanted I can't really see a match with McGinn. Then again I may be talking out my arse.

Yup. I see Smith implementing focus on work rate and the focus of being a team. I don't think Kodjia comes close to what he wants from a striker or a winger.

I prefer Thor for the simple reason that he still has legs. Watching Whelan and Jedinak breathing out their arse and consistently being out of position after 30 minutes played, that makes me hate football.

Honestly think you gotta give him 12 months before asking anything. His playstyle is so far from Bruceball you can get. I can only imagine the confusion at BMH when he introduces the concept of pressure.

Didn't he actually take money out of the club? He loved the club no doubt, but making him out to be some kinda great servant is a bit too much. I will never speak ill of the dead, and have no interest doing it here, but when most of the fan base absolutely hated him for years and years I find this thread rather funny.

Hope his backroom staff is part of this, or I think this is a mistake. If I remember correctly he struggled settling in his first season with Brentford. He will in that case be crucified on here.

It's not that weird. If you are professional, follow a contract and possibly even have some kinda moral backbone, you wouldn't spill this right before your team kicks off. Belgium has a match tonight IIRC, then one this weekend, then the final one on Tuesday? I wouldn't be surprised if more news started leaking either late tonight, tomorrow or after the two remaining matches.
