  1. IIRC Ashley Young got a new contract
  2. I try to keep track of the amount of calories I eat. I only do rough numbers, but l will try to go from 70 kg to 66 kg again, so I think I will have to cut down a bit to get there faster. I'm thinking around 1500 kcal on rest days, so 2000 on my lifting or running days (as the warmup is around 120 kcal and the lifting normally is around 400, and my run of 7 km normally is around 500 kcal as well.). Anyone have strong opinions on 1500 kcal and muscle gain? I've done it before and got fairly cut from it, but it was tiresome. Was easier when I gorged on 4000 cals a day and got fat as feck haha. I guess there are some calculators people use to get an idea, but I dunno. I'm 170 cm, 70 kg, no idea about fat percentage right now, but I'm guessing 14-15. Maybe I can get back to 12 ish if I drop to 66 kg. The only new thing for me in terms of diet is that I've started to eat oat for breakfast. Which I've never done as I'm not a breakfast person. Or I wasn't anyway.
  3. Hahaha. I don't give two shits about the English national side, but that is funny. Great manager that.
  4. It really isn't. And that's such a massively simple way of looking at it. Firstly a player can be negatively affected by getting the stuffing and confidence knocked out of him if he isn't ready for the physical levels of the league. You can compensate this if you are a LOT better than your opponents, but in the PL he won't be that. In the league one however he might be. Secondly, going out on loan is about a lot more than that. For these players it's a journey where they learn to become men. They won't ever have the life some of us have had where you are kicked out, got no where to go, have to work at the bottom, join the military, have nobody and nothing. Their lives are incredibly followed up on, to the minor details. Going out on loan is a teaching experience for them, and it teaches something AVFC can't teach them. I'm sure for instance Grealish benefitted massively from it.
  5. I will admit I haven't watched McNeil enough to make an opinion really, but after watching his youtube wheel, I have to say that the lack of end product is exactly what I was thinking. A lot of nice runs with the ball but after the shot or pass you see the movie cuts to a new clip. Nothing came of it. It was literally the EXACT thing I was thinking after watching it, the lack of end product that is. But I don't have a strong opinion either way. I just hope he doesn't cut inside.
  6. Newsnow became tolerable after I activated the blacklist function of that site.
  7. Around where I live there's a lot of Staffordshire Pitbull Terriers. I like them. They generally like me as well. But I've never quite figured out why some of them become so beefy and muscular. There are some that are very slim and good looking dogs, and then there are some that look like a belgian blue. I assume it's not only genetics. I'll say this though, they can be a pretty head strong breed, and for some reason a lot of beginners are getting this breed during covid and it's noticeable, cause they have no discipline over their dogs. Which is scary cause they are pretty dominant and imposing when they want to be.
  8. He'd get less minutes than Ramsey for sure. Ramsey is 20 years old and Chuk is 17. Ramsey also got the benefit of a covid affected squad, Sanson being out injured, Barkley being dog shit and so on. Assuming we will sign a new CAM, I can't see many minutes for Chuk unfortunately. I'm a strong supporter of these young kids going out on loan, and I think it would be doing Chuk a disfavour pretending that isn't the best option for him. Even if he himself think otherwise. Very few young players break through in the PL as 17/18 years old, and the few that does normally have a really impressive physique for their age. That's not Chuk. Just like Grealish he needs to beef up a bit and get some lower league experience.
  9. Well that's Smiths call. Would be weird on Chuk's part. I think he'd develop more from 30+ matches in the lower leagues than 300 minutes over a season with the senior team.
  10. I think a loan where he gets to play a lot of football, whether that's league one or something. That would be ideal for him.
  11. Fits me to a tee as well, even if I'm not an only child. It's always been a bit of an annoyance really cause socially it's a bit unacceptable to be happy by yourself. And in relationships it's forcing me to continously focus on whether I'm 'doing my thing' or showing interest in her. It's stupid, but also hard cause I really need my own space and time to find 'balance' and not lose my shit. On the other hand it made me love working out, go fishing and collect random stuff
  12. Well if he needed to find someone to tell him what's good and bad about the respective teams... mission accomplished
  13. Haven't spoken to my sister in 4-5 years. Doesn't bother me either. She consistently have treated my old folks like shit her entire life, and me for that matter. To make it worse we are very very different both in interests, personalities and appearance. When I realised I wanted to cut her out of my life a few years back it was rather pleasing. Some people are just toxic and they drain you. You come to a point where it's liberating to cut them out. I know it sounds crazy to anyone else though. I'm probably going to be settling down and having a family of my own soon enough. My girlfriend has a really strong relationship with her sister and so on, and she doesn't get that our kids will never meet their aunt on their fathers side. Some people get it, some people don't I guess. My mum and dad are great people mind. Lord knows how they have managed to deal with all of her drama over the years. It makes me exceptionally angry though, cause I know they hurt a lot when she treats them like shit. She's such a massive massive word removed.
  14. Having played in the champions league means zilch as to whether the player is of PL quality. If you want examples let me know. VDB might develop into something, but right now he is not a PL quality player or what we need.
  15. VDB would be a pretty meh signing for me. Might improve and develop into a PL quality player, but right now he isn't. They gambled and it hasn't worked out. He is in the same bag as Joelinton and Haller, and arguably Wesley. Stay well clear. Potential we got in our youth team. We need quality.
  16. No I'm not sure. I think there are a few fans here that love the idea of being miserable more than success.
  17. Something I can never understand about this club is how whenever we have a good player, there's a select few fans that always have to talk about them leaving, instead of loving the fact they are here. It's like you want to be miserable.
  18. I'd like to see us sign a striker in the Robbie Keane mould. Still slightly bitter we never signed him when we should have. Not sure why I'm saying this now, but I just watched a Baggio thing on flix and ended up watching Keane clips on youtube. Absolutely class.
  19. Had to increase my rest time from one day off to two days off due to soreness. Had my second session yesterday. Boy it feels good. Was hard to overcome the doms during warmup and squats, but after 30 min I was fine. Nice to see all the hangups I've done during lockdown has made me retain some capacity on bench press. Guess it's substantial lats activation on both exercises. Deadlifts and especially squats however is a nightmare.
  20. He has the potential to develop and I quite like him as player. But I don't think for a second city will trigger the clause. He just has not been impressive enough for that. It's slightly funny though, that his lapse in form could end up being a huge advantage for us.
  21. Bit of a digression, but since it was touched on. Here is an induction based charging point in Oslo for Taxicabs. Only a matter of time before they are in roads. https://ibb.co/FJ704By
