  1. No chance. Barkley was basically a deep laying striker last season. He had no defensive responsibility and did what he wanted. JWP just isn't that player.
  2. If we are interested then I think Sanson, Luiz or McGinn are off. Prob Luiz.
  3. That was my impression, but transfermarkt said different. Thing is I can see us splashing out on a quality DM, but for the box-to-box position we got Luiz, McGinn, Sanson and Ramsey + Chuk. I just think we have more pressing needs than more comp. there.
  4. I thought JWP was a box to box player. Is he a DM?
  5. Seems unlikely. And not the CM I think we need.
  6. Nope. Jack is that good. Generation level talent. World class.
  7. It's weird to start slowly on the big lifts again. Had four sets of five rep 100 kg (220 lbs I guess for you uncivilised people) deadlifts two days ago for the first time in a year and bunch of sickness and injury. Can really feel it around the centre of my back area. Technique wasn't that impressive mind. And squatting is even worse. Tried some squats at 60 kgs, i.e less than my body weight and I really really struggled. Guess I have to go down in weights and just have patience.
  8. This. Plus the fact it's likely there's been an agreement for Buendia to move on if they got a reasonable offer this season. He stayed when he could have left last season. They get a decent transfer wedge this season and got promoted. It's basically a win win for them. Promotion means a lot. Personally I think they will sell Aarons too and reinvest in 3-4 championship punts. If just one works out it’s a profit made already.
  9. I tried the most expensive I found on the market that was recced by everyone. No effect
  10. Me neither. The entire club seems proper from the little I know. I do however find it hilarious some of them think we're on the same level. It's so out there I don't even know how to argue or ridicule it. Ofc. there's no point to expect rational comments from them now. You wouldn't find much of that here if Jack had left after we got promoted. I find it extremely funny to read other club's messageboards to get an opinion on the transfer though. By large the bigger clubs are saying it's a good deal etc. Then you have smaller clubs like Leeds and such who feel the need to call it a £ 40 million transfer. Then compare it to the few successful signings they've had for less. Such a bitter jelous funny way of looking at it. Ofc. McGinn's of the world can be signed for a couple of million, but the likelyhood of that happening is very small. Thus you pay more to be ensured quality. And Buendia isn't a £ 40 million transfer just like Ollie wasn't a £ 33 million transfer. They might end up being respectively £ 40/33 million transfer, but if it gets to that the transfer will already be worth it. Ollie for instance is probably a £ 33 million transfer by now, since he scored double digits and got into the national team. But asset wise he's probably worth £ 50-70 million easily.
  11. Isn't it more likely it's Grealish left, Buendia centre and Traore left. Or AEG left Geealish centre and Buendia right.
  12. The funny thing reading the pinkun is that they actually think we are on the same level.
  13. Stories coming out like we made a bid but arse didn’t makes it sound to me they lowballed them and are now forced publically to enter the bidding war or feck off. Wouldn't be surprised norwich were playing games here, but the fact reports are listing the bid in euros makes me think it's all bs. Edit. well **** off percy. Made the timing of my post impeccable.
  14. Why on earth would you report negotiations between two English clubs in euros. I call bullshit.
  15. Because I notice no difference and a large percentage are non responders. Obviously it's hard to be sure, but both in performance and recovery I didn’t notice anything.
  16. I do. I quite distinctly remember him being one of very few that looked like a PL player, in a season nobody had it in them to give anyone any credit.
  17. I remember there were rumours years ago that they sold/exported israeli oranges and produce labelled of being SA or Spanish. To avoid said boycotts, but dunno if there's any truth to it. In Norway I think they also sell a lot of potatoes, which I find funny as we have about four things in this country... fish, oil, rocks and potatoes.
  18. Picked up groceries for the weekend. Noticed produce from Israel. Put it back. Now got a table at a palestinian restaurant for tonight or strictly speaking lebanese, but they ho. Means nothing ofc. but feels good
  19. It was a relegation season. We lost matches so every player was bashed, but he was generally seen as the better one in the squad.
  20. Almost nobody said that about Gana. He was arguably our best player that shit season. Veretout was never suitable for the pace of the PL.
  21. Well if it keeps you in the money, maybe not. But I feel for Newcastle. They remind me a bit of us post mon. No real plan, just the ambition of not being relagated. And despite that you know that's where they're heading. Non inspireing signings to be led by spudface and the football is awful. Sometimes you wonder if some clubs need a relegation and a reset, however dumb that sounds.
  22. Didn’t look like a PL player before his injury, that's a bigger concern.
