    Needs to get a loan sorted sharpish so he can have a full pre season at a club and go from there. Could do with taking a leaf out of Grealish's book from early last season and put in some OT with a good strength and conditioning coach. Still think he's probably a bit off making a championship side and probably won't make it here unless he's a bit special. Good footballing side like MK Dons be a good club for him.

    Potential for Villa is massive though. Existing fan base + growth. No disrespect to them but clubs like Brighton , Bournemouth and Burnley - their status are regional clubs really. We aren't coming up off a low base. We've a fantastic stadium and training facility. Recruitment though must be top drawer.

    Lot of polish in the Italian league too. They scout well and get them on the cheap. I know piatek is with Milan now but Genoa signed him from a polish side for 4 million. Kownacki and Linetty good talents too.

    Definetely agree. All the best young Serbian and Croatian talent seem to head to Serie A. Technically excellent footballers and the Croatians ( modric aside ) built like shithouses

    Dunno if anyone else caught it but could hear grealish say to wilder after the interview yesterday that " you were the best team we played at VP this season. " Nice touch jack and to be honest id agree with him.

    Good shout. The sampdoria thing hasn't worked out for him at all. Probably get him for near enough what they paid Leeds for him.

    Praet would be quality. Isn't he similar to grealish though, more creative than sitting midfielder ? Arsenal are high on him though apparently, he played with torreria at sampdoria and did very well.

    Remarkably calm in the aftermath i thought. He wants to make a mark in the premier league, make no mistake. He'll probably be back at work in 2 weeks planning and preparing.

    Hayden be a quality bit of business and by what's been touted around he wants the move. No to Cahill. No time for sentiment. He's played hardly no premier league football and i don't think he has it anymore for this level. Mings and Konsa. Konsa is quality. We don't get him, someone else will.

    This though is where you have to draw the line between sentiment and doing the right thing. Whelan been brilliant for us but like another poster alluded to, premier league players haven't got worse. So he won't be able for it, simple as. It's the coaching staffs job to be good behind the scenes and motivate the team. Can't keep a lad on the playing staff in the premier league when he isn't good enough to play in it. No. Fulham got it all wrong. I agree but we won't go that way i feel. It's fairly obvious what we need. New LB. Central midfielder. If Tammy leaves, new striker.

    Important not to let this guy go under the radar and what he has done at the club. Great piece of business and has been massive for us over the last 3 seasons.

    Financially i don't think it's as grim as last season, then again they hid it bloody well last year until we lost to Fulham. If we lose today, Grealish has played his last game with the club. If we win and go up it still might be his last game. We'd command a massive fee for him though. No idea how this FFP thing works and whether we are restricted in how we spend. If the worst happens today ( but it won't) we'll be ok next season.
