No. no no. He got the necessary stick. Let's not play captain hindsight now because he's gone on to have moderate success in a team and system that works for him. I know what my eyes seen. They didn't deceive me. Played nearly 150 games for us. He runs around like crazy to give the perception " jeez that lads putting in a shift " yet by the time he gets to the opponent, balls gone. Weak as piss water. Good stats man when it comes to passing but lacks any bravery to make a forward pass.

Chester was arguably our best player the season we lost to Fulham in the playoff final. He was pouring from an empty cup last year. Easy to forget how good he was though. One of our better signings in recent years .

Listen to most of the blokes competing in UFC, clearly not dealing from a full deck. I don't think it's much of a generalisation to assume if they weren't in competitive "sport" they'd be in trouble. It's on its knees anyway now the cash cow is gone. A fad "sport" that hopefully will be redundant in the not to distant future.

Think though we have a proper scouting department now. This wasn't done on a whim. Likely we had been looking at him as far back as when we made a charge for the playoffs .

Spot on. It comes back to what purslow said in the sit down interview along with Smith after the play off final. Basically said the media have not got a clue who we are after and we won't be influenced by what they say either. Clearly wasn't just saying this to make a nice interview. Man was deadly serious.

I remember when we were signing players in the summer we got relegated and short arse was tweeting silly cryptic emoji tweets about incoming signings. Was good fun at the time to have that level of interaction with a chairman but looking back on it now compared to how we are run now, was comically amateurish really wasn't it.
