I don't think we were controlling it nicely. At all. I think they were the best side we've faced in the run we've been on. They got into our half plenty, they play some nice triangles with ayling, hernandez and trampford without been threatening . Thought Phillips nullified Grealish. We need to do our homework more on them should we meet them at Wembley.

The grealish fouls were nothing that we didn't see at the city ground and SHA a few weeks back. Phillips getting close to Grealish was a plan yes but no different if i remember to howson all over him when we played Boro in the playoffs last year. Grealish draws fouls, it's the way he plays. I actually thought jack did a lot of whining on the floor when i wanted to see him play a bit more football.

I think it's actually a massive and ballsy statement from Smith to go with a near full strength team with a game of little significance. If we square up against this lot again in a couple of weeks time at wembley it's great to know " we can beat you lot ".

That's probably them at full strength with what's available to them. Even if there isn't as much riding on this as we thought there would be a week or so ago, December has to be still fresh in our boys minds. That did hurt for a while.

Ruiz isn't the most aesthetically pleasing boxer ( i.e he's a fat mess ) but he can bang and take a shot. Lost a close enough fight to Parker for a world title in new Zealand a few years ago. By the halfway stage of this year Joshua, Wilder and Fury will have done absolutely nothing noteworthy in 2019.

Don't think they have that type of midfielder to put one in on one of ours to be honest. Don't think klich or hernandez would go into a dark room never mind a tackle. Nice players. That tramp Jansson on the otherhand....

The first leg will be the 5.30 kick off on the Saturday yes ? Villa park will be rocking for that. I guess you'd want to be away first leg but maybe playing on an even keel at home first leg will make us be more positive and attack more. Thought we were brutal second leg at home to boro last season. Yes, different manager but we defended a 1 goal lead from minute one at our own place .

Be nuts if we end up playing Leeds if they finish 4th. Think they'll beat ipswich anyway even if they lose to us tomorrow.

They've very good players though. It helps. Systems and formations are all well and good with teams who are greater than the sum of their parts, but at the top level it usually breaks down. Wolves will be ok i think. Got good quality.

What mindset ? I said they have been excellent and they have been. My point is that they will need to tailor how they play to a degree. They play with a back 3 and more often than not the CB of that trio is the only one at home when they go forward. It's no mindset mate. They'll get destroyed playing with 2 of a back 3 who attack so much. In the top league they'll pay for it when they lose the ball. Championship players dither on it. They'll get hurt if they lose it next season . They play fantastic football though. Well done to them.

They'll get walloped next season if they try to play like they have been. Have to tailor it somewhat and be mindful of what they are coming up against .

Abel Sanchez really throwing his toys out of the pram after golovkin ditched him as his trainer. He's acting like he took Golovkin from the streets and built him up. Golovkin was a highly decorated amateur and was ready to fight Felix Sturm in his 8 pro fight but was blocked. They had a professional relationship. Not a father , son one lije Sanchez trying to make out.

They are rightly **** so. Dallas doesn't look comfortable there at all. Janssen is a great player when they are playing well and things are going his way but he can be quietened too at times.

I certainly wouldn't dismiss them. They might just have enough time to ready themselves mentally for the playoffs now as opposed to losing it on the last day. The reality is that they won't get 2nd and by the time they kick off against us they should be 6 points off so they'll know then it's over.

We have to win the next game. Like it always should be. 4th 5th makes little difference really. We're playing West Brom. We know that already. Doesn't make much difference whether they come to ours first or 2nd leg. No away goals anyway.
