  1. Yeah he probably could play as a slower version of himself 15 years ago, but for like 10 minutes and be totally done.
  2. Not a disaster today but looking longer term that's more points dropped from winning positions and that has to be cut out 100% next season. We're now well into double figures for dropped points. Mitigating circumstances today with two injuries but even so.
  3. What's 'Arry up to. Surely they can have a nice round 10th manager of the season and it worked out well last time.
  4. As if it's going to be that arsehole Wagner playing the reserves again that will save them.
  5. Burnley had a higher xG as well I think
  6. So did they I think. Beat Leicester and Rotherham and thought it was done.
  7. Yep Coventry, Stoke, Preston can get in the bin
  8. Plymouth have absolutely tanked I think they were over 10 points clear of the drop zone at one point, losing Schumacher and Azaz really killed them
  9. We were 4 season ending injuries to first team players down and sustained a title push until Xmas. You better believe we'd have another 6-9 points if not for those and be right up there.
  10. Agricultural but if we smash Palmer in the first 10 mins we'll probably win 4-0
  11. Yeah I agree. Villa want to charge an amount that means demand outstrips supply by 1 person. That would be the perfect situation. If you have £20 tickets, 50k seater and a waiting list of 50k, that's bad. If you have £150 tickets but only 30k in your 50k stadium, also bad. What you want is £100 tickets and stadium full with minimum waiting list.
  12. Also it's difficult with regards to increased prices etc. but what villa are offering now is an elite tier product, we're the 4th best team in the best league currently, probably in the top 20 best teams in the world at the moment, in the world's most popular sport. That's not going to come cheap.
  13. Yeah absolutely. It'll be are stadium revenues through the roof? Yes. Are fans annoyed with increased prices? Yes too. But is the stadium still full? Also yes = Heck success
  14. Wonder if after Klopp leave he'll slot right in
  15. Yep I think this will be the case too. The other Midlands muppets always help them them out, see Coventry's non league standard performance Vs them recently
  16. Bennett made him look like Roberto Carlos
  17. My brother in law saw him in Nando's with Snodgrass so sound about right
  18. Worst 'bottom 3' in history were in 2018-19 amassing 76 points, 2020-21 with 77 and 2005-06 and 2009-10 amassing 79 points (small heath being one of them). Through time most of the three relegated clubs gathered between 90-100 points combined. In the last few years it's rarely above 85, usually low 80's. The current bottom 3 have 64 points, so need to scrape together 13 between them over 12 games to avoid being the worst ever.
  19. People don't realise what an absolute titan we were between about 1890-1930. Most people around the world who liked football knew of us, most successful team in the country by far, definitely up there comparably with the likes of Real Madrid today. That's why we have so many references in literature of the time, so many teams play in claret and blue, even people and teams in other sports wore claret and blue in our image.
  20. I'd swap for Pep if you wanted to give him Petrostate sport washing levels of funding and were happy with winning the champions league once a decade in return
  21. The thing which will always be with the new badge is the off centre Aston Villa at the bottom. I know it can't be centred, but it still looks absolutely crap like someone knocked it up on paint in 5 mins
