  1. Howe should have changed the game earlier today, it was obvious what he tried wasn't working and he needed a plan B. Is he good enough to get them top 4? I'm not so sure, I think they maybe a 1 trick pony.
  2. Jesus, reading their forum and they think the ref was harsh on them, some of the unpunished tackles they got in first half, the one on Ramsey when he needed treatment was a blatant yellow card. Buendia was body checked in the face , unpunished. If they try that trick against any 'top 6 teams' they will be playing with 10 men.
  3. Brighton are setup just like we are, play the ball out of the back nicely and find space behind the press. Hope Chelsea can beat them but I doubt it.
  4. I'm speechless at how good we were today, the improvement Emery has made is unprecedented in the premier league, isnt it? Could easily have been 5-0 today, Howe had no way to change it, they needed to from the first minute they looked lost once their high press failed to panic us into giving away possession. We found the midfield or the full backs with an out ball that made them vulnerable at the back, we had some great phases of play. Are Newcastle that good? I don't think they are tbh, they have just made the most of the poor form of other teams in the top 6. Or maybe we are just a better team? Can't think of one Newcastle player who would make our first 11. Ps Watkins is unplayable when he's on that form , gave the Newcastle defence a right battering, they looked scared.
  5. I think he maybe ready. Looks certain borough will get in the play offs and with the type of form him and Ramsey are in I can see them getting borough promoted. Big decisions will have to be made.
  6. The damage is done tbh, no matter what they do the markets have no confidence in them and that's why the rate at which we can borrow (the government) has more than doubled. The tories main strength has been their handling of the economy, not anymore, they have lost that and it should be pointed out to the public just how disastrous those 6 weeks have been. They should be brought to task over them picking Truss to ruin our country, if they get elected who will they pick next, MOG , Boris again, Give Truss another swing at her suicide economics? These are questions that should be asked of the prime minister, he can't answer them, he would divide his party in trying. The NHS is obviously a mess but its a muddy mess with no staff and low pay , they can and have dodged that bullet. That's not to say it can't be used as another area of weakness. The police are a mess but it's the met thats grabbing the headlines, basically how they have mismanaged the money they have been given.
  7. Starmer needs to concentrate on what the Tories have done to the economy. We still hear about Brown's gold fiasco now, Truss should be pulled over the coals, who voted for her in the Tories, who agreed with her policies are the awkward questions that should be asked. Letting them set the agenda with boats and such crap is damaging. Every refugee could be given a million pound and it still wouldn't be as expensive as Truss and her mental blip.
  8. Newcastle have a thread all on there very own (you can discuss the owners on their) , this thread is a discussion on the game and how we are going to beat them on Saturday.
  9. Not sure what that's got to do with this game and none of us have any power over who owns us and that's the sad reality of it all, not voting the tories would help a bit. Saturday 11 v 11, let's do em.
  10. Looking for some decent content for a blog or forum. Looking forward to playing em, they have done well and look likely to break the top 4 monopoly this season, if they can beat us. If we beat them then we both look to break the top 6 monopoly, happy days all round.
  11. We will play out from the back and try and draw you out. We have not really converted from the good positions we are getting in once we get behind the oppositions midfield using this tactic. Sooner or later it will click and we will score a hat full.... Can't see how Pope is better than Martinez in anyone but a Newcastle fans eyes. Watkins and Wilson, Wilson has played half the amount time, due to injury? Watkins has far more to his game than scoring goals, hopefully you will see it Saturday. Watkins all day long for me, even Southgate agrees
  12. The amount of chances we have crested around the box that have come to nothing because of the wrong ball or a mistimed pass must be huge. Against Leicester we cut them to ribbons for 15 minutes without scoring or even getting a shot on target. Bailey and Watkins have missed chances..... I have watched all our games, for full 90 minutes and we have deserved all we have got. The one that got away ,for me, was Arsenal at home. They scored an offside goal and we went gung ho to try and make up for the injustice of it all and ended up losing 4-2. You don't need stats if you watch the games in full..
  13. Bailey to score the winner Saturday, he's better than what we have seen, he's not playing with any freedom and looks like he's playing with an enormous amount of pressure on him.
  14. Reckon Newcastle will press our back 4, leaving space behind. We have to take our chances while they over commit and force them back. If we can get a goal ahead then they will have to push forward even more, really excited about this game, Emery V''s Howe, fascinating.
  15. They finished 4 points ahead of us last season, had a good season this time around and are 9 points ahead of us. Beating them at home is hardly punching above our weight, it's where we should be. Beating Chelsea away is punching above our weight.
  16. Should be a good game, nice to measure ourselves against them as they seem to have improved at a higher rate than us but I suppose that's to do with Gerrard and his attempt to fucX us up for 9 months. We are only 9 points behind them, 6 if we can beat them, after such a crap start from us and a good start from them is quite incredible. Had a little read of their forum, its quite an eye opener, seem to have more than their fair share of knuckle draggers ( we have at least 1) promising to rain hell on Aston, 3 page match thread , ain't that impressive. An over reliance on Brummie Barry from some German program that had a leading cast of Newcastle residents showing their higher intellectual capacity while pissing it up and living in a shed. Reckon a draws about right from this, I hope they get top 4 at the expense of the established , big clubs but want us to get top 6 (3 points would be very nice) Next season I hope we will be up there with them. Emery seems to have us on course, has Howe hit his ceiling? 2-2
  17. He's a fan who has seen a gap in the market and filled it. YouTube content on the villa is sadly lacking and its an opportunity for fans to fill it with content, if they dont then others will, even if they are not villa fans. Noticed a vlogger for forest had his highest viewing figures for the villa fixture, people make money from these vloggs, it's a highly targeted audience. If you don't like it then start your own or shut up.
  18. I can understand fans saying we are boring to watch when compared to our games in the past, but........ We can control games now from the back, dictate the tempo. It's frustrating when we need a goal but once we have that goal then it's vital we can control the tempo. How many times have we been winning in a game and gave goals away, played to the other teams tempo and let the game become a ping pong ball type affair with chances at both ends of the pitch until someone scores. (Often it's ain't us) We are not the finished article but this season has shown his ideas work, even with players that have had to learn a new way, players like Mings and Konsa who were so far away from being ball playing CD, the change is nothing short of amazing. Credit to him and the players.
  19. He will do well there, they have some great players who just need a bit of nudge. Terry going there will help shore up the defence, pleased for him.
  20. I would say he has the highest chance of success out of all our young players, from the limited amount of games I have seen him play. He's a clever player on the ball, great vision and finds a pass to match it, off the ball he finds space and gives his players an option to pass to him. More than anything he wants to be involved, never hides and he's always on the move. No swaggering about.
  21. Great loan move for him, he's looking good , very good. Another season out on loan and he's ready.
  22. Wouldn't want to be the first pilot to find out if they have run out.
  23. Loan him out to Leicester when their in the championship next season, see if he can fill Vardys boots.
