  1. Worth bearing in mind for those with xbox that the edited file for correct names/kits is not an option. you will be stuck with Roberto larcos & ryan greggs playing for west midlands stripes & south norwood
  2. I keep seeing people say we have invested 60 million, This isn't exactly the case is it, sure we have spent the money but we haven't really done a newcastle and added to what was already there have we. ours is pretty much a completely new team/squad which makes a huge difference. Of the starting 11 last night only 4 were villa players 2 months ago and changing the team every week/game realy isn't going to help them play with any sort of consistency. I don't agree with some of the tactics/selections (especially the continued complete lack of attacking options on the bench to change anything) but that is a different matter entirely and we really should be beating the likes of brentford, bristol city regardless
  3. Albrighton has scored for leicester in the champions league... Remember when he was too crap to get in our team all of 18 months ago :/
  4. Fair play to Everton. young lad with cancer was the mascot tonight & Everton have chucked £200,000 towards his cash needed for treatment in the states
  5. I see Moyes is proving me right, So glad that eybrowless old dinosaur didn't come here.
  6. He'll be off to United/Arsenal next summer for 30-40 million. Hope we had a sell on clause.

  8. 4k is getting affordable though. Sure they may not be the best sets in the world but in the UK at least you can walk into argos/currys and buy a 55" 4k branded (lg) 2016 HDR set for under £700 and if you want something smaller they are getting close to £400 for a 43" samsung hdr set. These prices will be slashed again in the run upto christmas with black friday deals etc. Amazon prime day had 60" lg sets for £650, 55" will be below £500 in the next month or two. I just can't see the logic in this really as many people will be replacing lcd/led at these prices. Why would you give your only real competitor a highly desireable unique selling point when they are already priced upto £100/$100 cheaper and come bundled with this years FIFA or madden in the states. They are focusing on the games which is fair enough but then spend a large portion advertising how great everything looks in 4k, look at out 4k tv's they are great, look at our new console don't the games look great with pro mode, look at the 4k movie streaming via netflix/youtube... Want the best quality bitrate and be able to take advantage of deals/offers on 4k blu-ray movies? Here Look at this xbox one s that can play 4k blu-rays for £150 less than our standalone blu-ray player.... Oops even the cheap lg tv's i mentioned already have 4k amazon/netflix built in anyway so it seems kinda pointless and they are adding this to the standard ps4 & slim anyway via a software patch although again this will not be true HDR, just a software HDR effect as this is not possible over hdmi 1.4 A major hurdle to 4k streaming is the quality /speed of internet which is why a lot of people still like discs for both games & movies. I am lucky enough to have 200mb broadband but the best i could get in my old house a couple of miles away was 10mb which is no use for streaming. The ONLY difference between the machines is boosted/upscaled graphics. The games are all just ps4 games but will basically be shipped with a standard graphical setting for bog standard ps4 and a shiny "pro mode" setting for the new machine, much like the graphcs options on a PC but they will not run natively in 4k anyway, just upscaled with better textures. EA have already confirmed that mass effect andromeda is locked at 30fps on slim & pro so it is just graphical tweaks. The games will undoubtebly look better than the current ps4 & xbox one (s included) but is slightly better graphics alone a good enough reason to buy a completely new machine when you will need a 4k tv to use it anyway? And since you must have the 4k tv if you're going to buy the console then surely the ability to play 4k discs is a plus point yes? It is using the same CPU (now overclocked to 2.1GHz rather than 1.66) and slightly upgraded ram (8gb ddr5 @ 218gb/s rather than 176gb/s) which gives an extra 512mb memory increase for the pro mode settings. The only thing they have really changed is the GPU & physical look of the machine. There is still no external HDD support or backwards compatibility (other than the cack ps now) It seems that developers do have the option to play around with graphics settings. Crystal dynamics have said that tomb raider comes with 3 settings : 4k - high frame rate 1080p (runs at between 30-45fps depending on what is happening) & enhanced visuals 1080p (locked at 30fps but with better rendering & lighting)
  9. Big planes don't bother me in the slightest although i have to confess i am not a huge fan of the window next to the propeller on a turboprop aircraft. Put me in a single engine cessna or something though and it's vomit comet & brown trousers time
  10. Oh dear, No 4k blu-ray drive according to press... my tv (& i am guessing most reasonable 4k tv's) already streams amazon/netflix in 4k with hdr on selected titles so this is not a feature for me anyway Not really sure what sony are doing here after all blu-ray is essentially their format. This will surely go down as one of the stupidest decisions ever made by an electronics company. Here look at our fancy new 4k machine that doesn't play 4k movies... You can buy an xbox one s with slightly updated hardware, fifa 17 & 4k blu-ray drive for £250 or a ps4 pro with an updated gpu and 4k upscaling for £350 I know which one will be under more trees this christmas
  11. So the slim is exactly the same spec as standard, just smaller and the pro basically does the same upgrade as an xbox one s, a bit more powerful & 4k HDR support although for some reason they have't announced/confirmed 4k blu-ray playback yet which would be an absolutely astounding balls-up if it doesn't play them.
  12. After watching a fat manc gypsy beat a super boxing robot, getting caught up in the british sport is great (bar england national football team) hype and the recent shocks in UFC i am going for a £20 treble on Brook to win inside the distance, Smith to beat Canelo & Ovill McKenzie to beat Marco Huck at 522/1. Could make september fun Brook is a funny one, people keep mentioning him moving up 2 weight classes but GGG is a small middleweight (although he hits harder than most of the bigger ones) and i wouldn't be surprised if brook is usually the bigger of the two when they are between fights walking around at 12.5-13 stone meaning it is one hell of a cut for him to get down to 10.7 to fight at welter. The extra stone at middleweight should help him power wise but it may play havoc with his fitness/cardio during the fight as he will not be used to carrying the extra weight. Brook hits hard at welter but his whole record is just about all crap so i'm not sure anyone, including himself actually knows how good he is. GGG hits hard and smashes people out of there early but there is a lot of average/crap on his record too and much like when Tyson was at his destructive best many of the fighters he has faced seem to believe all of the hype and go in there fully expecting to get KO'd. I would honestly sat similar of Canelo/Smith. Sure on paper it seems like it should be a walkover for canelo but i have a feeling that he may just take this one against a fairly unknown & unglamorous brit a little for granted & get caught. Smith seems to be getting better every fight, throwing some truly destructive shots along the way and canelo has been up/down/all over the weights for the past few years and may have his focus still on GGG in future rather than a pasty liverpudlian. As for huck/ovill i just think that despite being much younger Huck is on the way out, since 2012 he has fought only 4 different people and many of his fights now are tight decisions all at home in germany. McKenzie flew to argentina on 2 weeks notice, battered victor ramirez around the ring for most of the 12 rounds and somehow only got a draw and just seems to be on somewhat of a twilight revival to his career. I just hope he isn't the victim of another "home decision" this time around. Or i could be completely wrong and they'll all have bruised arses inside a few minutes as on paper they are probably all mismatches
  13. They have done an update to this today. All game time limits have been removed so it is now a proper first to 300 on conquest rather than it always ending after a set time regardless of the score. Time limit on rush also removed. Would be nice if they added the alpha map for the last day or two as this is more fun than the big sniper desert.
  14. Just done similar but got 18/1 on paddy power
  15. Christian Atsu gone to newcastle on loan from chelsea for the season
  16. looks straightforward enough to me, someone asked him what will happen during the african nations. He said we will get a couple of loans and buy another 1/2 in the jan window
  17. we will have to wait until jan for loans, There is no loan window anymore, everything has to be done in the next 30 mins unless you are in the conference north/south or below or a free agent
  18. Any chance of everton coming in with a late bid for ayew now that sissoko is going to spurs?
  19. Ok so when does the Jan transfer window thread open...
  20. ffs could have also gone elsewhere today too: Gabby you have 107 minutes to find somewhere to go.
  21. Can we just give him to the baggies? They need players & would save him moving house.
  22. £15 mil, Robbie Brady. Get it done dr tony. Medical might be difficult as he is currently playing for ireland but must be fit if playing i guess & if nothing else it would send the norwich lot into meltdown. Time for a brady to villa twitter rumour to make their message board interesting for the evening ...
