  1. Would be interested to see some of your squad selections for Qatar 2022. Going to be a few disappointed players when the squad is announced on 20th October. Obviously injuries/form nearer the time will play a part but here's mine FWIW: 1. Pope 2. Pickford. 3. Ramsdale. 4. Walker. 5. James 6. Stones. 7. McGuire. 8. Tomori. 9. Mings. 10. Shaw. 11. Rice. 12. Phillips. 13. Mount. 14. Bellingham. 15. Ward-Prowse. 16. Henderson. 17. Maddison. 18. Foden. 19. Grealish. 20. Saka. 21. Sterling. 22. Kane. 23. Abraham. I think Southgate's will be much different, for a start I am at least 3 RB's short, and I can't see him picking any of Mings, Maddison or Ward-Prowse.
  2. They're one point off 5th place, and 5th gets you into the Champions League with Man City being banned. It would be the first time a newly promoted club would qualify for the CL, wouldn't it?
  3. I do have to admit that the current England shirt is very nice, Much better than the last few efforts. Possibly Nike's best. I've got a few from the late 90s and early 00s. My all time favourites though: All about Umbro for me! 1) 1990 Third Amazing how iconic this shirt is - only wore it once I think in 1991 in an away qualifier. 2) 1996 Home - also really like the Grey away one as well. 3) 1998 Away Notable nods to the 2006 Home and of course, the 1966 away and the early 80's Admiral kits. The latter ones before my time so miss out for me.
  4. Solihull Moor's have just signed striker Adam Rooney from Salford for undisclosed Fee and rumoured £4k a week.
  5. 1. Does it matter to you that the manager is English? 2. Does it matter to you that an American company makes the England kit?
  6. A good year so far for the England national teams Under 17 Euros - Runners Up Under 17 World Cup - Winners Under 19 Euros - Winners Under 20 World Cup - Winners Under 21 Euros - Semis The big question is how many of them will progress? Why doesn't our national team play with the same passion and togetherness as the younger squads?
  7. Confirmed Not exciting, but at least the players will know what they should be doing.

  16. For any talk not about a particular game (which can go in a match thread) any FA news about the national team, things like that. The biggest frustration of the past week has to be Michael Carrick. Stop picking him! We are injury hit at CM (and I'm hoping that's what's stopping us from going 4-3-3 since it worked so well in Euro qualifying), but there's better options. He looked shit against San marino and when he came off for Shelvey at 2-0, within 10 minutes we were 5-0 up because Shelvey didn't hold on to the ball for half an hour before passing it straight to a defender. We do have a lot of ageing players, but Carrick isn't exactly young or even good enough. Infuriating. Can United please just sell him? He'd have no chance at getting in the team then. Who would you like to see in midfield? And what do you want to see? 4-3-3, 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1?
