    Just saw Dads Army. Thought they did a great job of it. Is what it should have been - a really nice homage to the show and nothing more. Thought the yellow in Pike's scarf actually made it even more like a Villa scarf - yellow is basically the third colour of the club anyway.

    Moody Blues - A Question Of Balance. There is something strangely addictive about the Moodies - I can't explain it at all but you just keep wanting to listen to them. Maybe it is because they are a proper Brummie band, or maybe because they are just so tuneful and so unorthodox I don't know. But all of their 'core seven' albums are just superb.     Just got two chromecast audios, plugged them into my amps via the mini TOS link and bingo! Group play, faultless streaming, £30 a piece. Excellent value and basically perfect.

    It was pretty windy yesterday. I noticed a couple of his kicks seemed to get blown almost back towards him in the second half. I think the ball hoiked in by Leicester that went over him and then got frighteningly kicked back across goal by Lescott (I think) may have caught everyone by surprise by being blown further expected. He did definitely make at least one Guzan-esque underhit pass out to defence though...

    ... that interminable wait as Gabby's shot slowly rolled towards goal, slightly curving away the entire time. Will it go in? Will it go wide? Will a Norwich player get back? ... an entire stadium holds its breath... ... time stands still.. Oh, it went in! Haha! Brilliant!

    Brilliant goal by mahrez. And not only did we get a point off Leicester, if Sherwood hadn't had a total brainmelt we would have absolutely destroyed them at their place too.

    Well, no, not a surprise after the fact obviously. But it annoys me that the investment was not spread around the country further and that the regions are not more equally represented. A missed opportunity IMO.

    Off topic really, but the BBC are doing more than kicking just Villa when they are down. They are kicking Birmingham and the Midlands as a whole. They have removed virtually all presence in Birmingham and are persistently promoting Manchester and their huge investment in Salford Quays. The lack of any major BBC presence in the second biggest city is a disgrace IMO. The people of Birmingham are simply not getting anywhere near the benefit they should be getting from the licence fee (because it is basically all being invested in London, Manchester and Cardiff).
