  1. Actually their 'arsecake forecast' is that Brexit will leave the UK economy 6% smaller than otherwise by 2030. It's at the pessimistic end of a range of forecasts, the least damaging of which is NIESR who forecast a Brexit economy would be 2.25% smaller than otherwise in 2030. Nobody at all thinks the country would be better off following Brexit.
  2. Dream on. Nobody in this country is stupid enough to take him off our hands.
  3. Would have been nice if he'd scored some goals before we were mathematically relegated, but never mind. FWIW I think he's about accurately rated on here at this point, ie most people realise he's shit and ineffective but professional and not disruptive.
  4. This guy is really starting to test my patience.
  5. Why hasn't this thread been locked yet?
  6. Surely at this point the worst keeper in Villa's history.
  7. That really isn't even a difficult decision.
  8. Paging @ermie123, any lowdown on the product he's using?
  9. Well I would, because he appears to be named after a place in Lord Of The Rings.
  10. Agree with your conclusion but not your reasoning. Right back is a vital position. Full backs cover more ground than any other position (as an average, across the league) and our lack of decent wingers means our full backs provide most of our pitiful 'width' as well. Full back used to be a position you could 'hide' a bad player to some extent, but I think that ended around a decade ago. However, this means it's even more important than ever that we don't go into next season with an overpaid, overweight waste-man on £30-40k/week. Richards should be removed as a matter of urgency.
  11. So what you're saying is . . . he's much better than Guzan?
  12. Absolutely. Anything to avoid watching them!
  13. Handed out quite a few to Saints fans today, have to say I spoke to about 50 and all bar one were extremely nice and supportive. Nice to meet @markavfc40, @dont_do_it_doug. and @Shropshire Lad today, hope to see you all soon.
  14. There are a lot of people who don't like the NHS. It certainly won't be in any safer hands when Boris Johnson, Priti Patel, Liam Fox or any other member of the Tory far-right wins a leadership election after a LEAVE vote.
  15. I'll respond in more detail shortly, but I will say now it's not for me - or indeed any of us - to say categorically whether he did or he didn't. The situation is obviously ambiguous. He was convicted, failed an appeal, served a sentence and has now had that sentence quashed due to evidence we don't know about.
  16. I can't believe what I'm reading TBH.
  17. When I was a kid, I loved going on the tube when I went to London. Loved the map, loved the long tunnels, loved the weird winds, loved the idea of having an underground in the Midlands. Then I went to London to live last year. Took one journey, thought '**** this' and walked everywhere afterwards. Still try to avoid it where possible.
  18. I basically think of vast forests populated exclusively by witches and ghosts, interspersed by occasional wooden villages populated exclusively by religious zealots.
  19. Basically the same, 156 points this week still with triple captain (Sanchez vs Villa in all likelihood) to go. Now 50 points ahead of mini-league rivals with only 4 weeks to go, hopefully some canny purchases should get me over the line. Only partially makes up for the miserable week in TOGGA though.
  20. More tackles, clearances and interceptions per game than Alderweireld, reads the ball really well, is good on the ball, wins a huge amount of headers. I think you're letting a bad game at some point in the past cloud your judgement on this one.
