  1. How badly did Boris piss him off for all this to come out? There's got to be some serious dirt that we will probably never find out about
  2. Well, yes, but Sousa plays 2 strikers and this is a problem since 2/3 good ones are out. Hopefully Milik will be back, he has hit some form since leaving Napoli (I think 9 goals in 14?) so his absence will be visible should he not make it.
  3. Spain Vs Poland is actually happening on the 19th so here is one of those Gif things
  4. If deaths/hospital admissions don't go up drastically, does it matter if there are 10 new different variants?
  5. The good thing is I think we both are seeing the best "end game" in a similar fashion. But I'm often worried, what if Richard was a better candidate than Sarjeevan and Stephen simply picked the better guy? What if someone accuses Stephen of being a racist, without knowing all the minor details of his decision making? What if Sarjeevan build negative feelings because he is told that's "racism" ? A term you rightly noticed is negatively charged? What if that happened to him before, and he now blames "white middle aged guys" for his lack of success, rather than other factors? What if Stephen's less tolerant friend gets pissed off at Sarjeevan because he, by association, feels like he is branded as a racist because he also hires and is also white? Its a bitch of a discussion and no good answers so I think we can just agree that we should care and respect and honour each other no matter religion, race, gender, or any other thing that might make us "different". But like I said, we have made massive steps forward over the last 100 years so I hope we continue in a similar trajectory.
  6. But if that is racism, who is racist? Stephen? He is a good guy, has a loving family, goes to church and feeds homeless animals. He attends the local mosque and travels to Tibet to meditate and helps local people. Maybe you are right, but maybe the words used don't really encompass the phenomenon. Because I don't think Stephen is racist, he simply picked Richard. I honestly think that racism is one of the worst things anyone can be accused of and an act of racism is high on my list of "evil things". Do you think if Stephen was to be called racist, just because he picked Richard, it would do more harm than good to frame this as "racism"?
  7. This is one of the biggest topics and I won't do it justice. But another thing that is often forgotten is how easily humans group each other. Now, this isn't a bad or a good thing in itself. It's how evolution has shaped us up. Minimal Group Paradigm is an interesting excerise where the smallest piece of "difference" can make you group yourself with a specific people's for no "good reason". For example, if I got 20 random sample people, put them in white shirts with a blue or a red dot (10 of each) research suggests that likely they will form groups of "their" colour not even considering other variables. I always blame ignorance first before I blame bad intentions. I really think that Stephen, who sits next to Katie, his boss is Mark and his best mate is Andy, and sees two CVs of Surjaveen and Richard, while CVs are more or less identical, is more likely to pick Richard. Not because of institutional hatred, racism, negative feelings towards Sarjeevan - it's just that people often tend to group themselves in "familiar" ways. So I'm often hesitant to call Stephens- when-they-choose-Richards racist. Ignorance is my first go to explanation. But calling Stephen "racist" will not help but is likely to dissolve the serious issue. I think there is less racism than many think, but much more than there ever should be. Education can help fight ignorance. Heck, look at how different the world used to be a 100 years ago. We are moving in the right direction. That is not to say that there aren't serious race hating people out there. But I'd wager few of them are in police or education.

  9. Yup, that's the reason. Still pisses me off.
  10. Euro and Olympics are happening in 2021. Can we please stop calling them Euro 2020 or Tokio 2020? Everyone knows they were planned for last year. No need to push '2020', it wasn't a good year.
  11. I like it, but it's mainly because of the simple non gambling sponsor. Nice colours, quality will be good, and it doesn't have BetLuckyWin365 written in Chinese on it. It's good.
  12. Maybe it's a homage to him, as he is after all the greatest defender to play the game?
  13. You laugh but since the Zionist move has started (late 19th century) there have been a wide range of possible places (Russia included) for a new Jewish territory. Holy Land wasn't a viable option for many reasons so alternatives were discussed. Prior to that, most Jews lived relatively happily in central Europe so a country as such was not seen as 'necessity' by most. Of course, they were often 'picked on' but so were other minorities that were different. If a new neighbour moves next to you, doesn't eat the same food, dresses differently, speaks a different language, well, they will be outcasted in one way or another. In the early 20th century (pre and during 2nd world war) the Zionist and self defensive movements created a massive immigration of Jews to the Holy Land. That resulted in numerous Arabic revolts and fighting. So the state of Israel in itself isn't a problem, the problem of violence existed even before 1948. But, I can only imagine that while many Arabs were unhappy with their new neighbours, they were rightly pissed off when their families were resettled in order to create a, for a lack of a better word, artificial new country on what was their land. And if that land is backed by the biggest military power who supplies them with weapons which, often unjustifiably, are used against women and children, well, I'd be pissed off too.
  14. I can see many pundits are pushing the Kane to Man City narrative. I'll eat a hat if that happens. I also saw someone suggesting Mbappe to Liverpool. Some of these suggestions are ridiculous and Football Manager worthy. I don't think Kane is a "pep" type of signing, nor that Man City will spend 80-100m on him, nor that he is good enough* for them. If he's going anywhere, it Man Utd. *He is an excellent striker, but not at Lewandowski/Mbappe/Prime Aguero level.
  15. Jack in the centre with some freedom.
  16. Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I guess what gets on my nerves recently is many people still hitting the Trump button even after he is practically done for. I think we should have a go at people who are currently bringing suffering and pain to people around the world. And Biden has already extended one of the most stupid wars to until 11th September (most likely in order to get some sort of symbolic kudos) so my estimate of his treatment of global conflicts is already low.
  17. Trump wasn't my cup of tea, but; 1) Instead of complaining against a force that is no longer existent in active politics (Trump) how about we now oppose the Biden administration which has supported the Israeli right to ''self defence''? 2) This goes beyond Republicans/Democrats, Israel and US are best buddies regardless of which way the political pendulum swings every 4 years.
  18. I know people who buy men flowers for occasions like father's day or birthdays. Just because you are 'supposed' to.
  19. Buying flowers. On some occasions it goes so far as to being frowned upon not to bring them.
  20. I'd imagine players like Ronaldo are as much athletes as they are marketing tools. And I guess last year wasn't great for marketing or kids buying football shirts, so they need to get rid if he is not to become a financial burden. Also, Ronaldo will not play in Europa League. No way.
  21. In which case don't show this to Boris. And shame on me for believing the internet.
  22. Can someone show this to Boris?
  23. We most likely will be in 22/23 season.
