  1. Over here in the Concacaf Champions League tonight.
  2. If I read that correctly, the rangers defender also got charged as well. This is exactly the problem that will be faced in the near future. Getting evidence is key and usually it is very hard to get properly
  3. yeah I believe one of the quotes from Purslow was along the lines of it takes a few seasons to get back to PL size wage structure and this would be year #3
  4. imagine he’s off in the summer if this is true
  5. rumors that he chose Palace because he wanted to stay in London, so not much we could've done tbf
  6. I wonder whether we will see more of the dual club ownership models like with Reading and Barnsley -- where they can just "buy/loan" their players to the other clubs and help with the financial (ffp if it sticks around) side of the Championship.
  7. could say the exact same about Declan Rice too. English tax + PL premiums especially after the covid -hit financial year
  8. I would think so but then again I've seen lots of Fulham fans not being that pleased with him throughout the season
  9. linesman flagged it, Madley wasn't going to blow up for that
  10. Not sure I'd want him near penalties for us
  11. Every young player has a different learning curve and growth development. Some of the kids I coach over here stateside are further along in physical growth even at a younger age -- that's just something that is not completely controllable. With Jude, I think (and I know I'm not the one you are asking about this but I'll give it a shot anyways) he might be physically more developed at a younger age, but the main point is that he played a 41 game season for Small Heath in the championship and then got a move to a premier level club in Dortmund (obviously known for integrating young talent into the first team at a young age). With due respect to our first team squad, we're not at the level/point of a Dortmund where we can seamlessly transition our youngsters into the first team picture without seriously shifting the level of quality we have on the pitch. IIRC when we signed Louie Barry, I think it was @TrentVillathat said he didn't expect Barry to be particularly involved with the first team for a few years after signing because he had a ways to go growth & development wise.
  12. Rumors about Frank getting the U21 job, don't think that would be the worst hire
  13. mentioned him a while back. It won't happen, but if the owners were intent on making a splash signing he would be probably atop the list of "quasi" realistic. Would instantly raise our profile over here and is only 18. Won't happen though sadly
  14. what I've read it goes to the highest coefficient for those who didn't qualify for CL but did qualify for a European competiton (Europa / Conference)
  15. was someone I've been looking at as well. Think he did his ACL recently though
  16. It would look to be a pretty good signing, but in general with the new work permit rules I think we should be looking into the Brazil & Argentina markets (IIRC if a player plays for a club in the top tier they pretty much already have enough points)
  17. it looks like they are playing kick about when we have set pieces -- they always want to take them quickly and not actually send the ball into the box. Targett did have some pretty good free kicks today though
  18. the commentators for us over here (Graham Le Saux in particular) were left bemused when Dean didn't give a yellow on a few occasions - the Vinicius complete haul down of a break away was one of the top of my head
  19. Just a note I saw from some pre match notes - we've conceded twice from corners this season, which is the fewest in the league But I definitely agree with your post here.
