  1. Can't believe the negativity. Fair enough, he's been injured and not quite had the Unai upgrade yet. Look at what Don Unai has done to Mcginn, Watkins, Luiz etc. It's easy to forget how absolutely awful they / we were under Gerrard. Just imagine if Unai could get Coutinho anywhere near his best.
  2. Probably been told to go. Any decent sale of a youth player is great for FFP and it's complete, immediate profit.
  3. I went to the Man City vs Madrid game last night (My friend is a City fan, recently recovered from chemo so I drove for him) What struck me was, how routine it was, almost expected. Ignore the TV, except for 1 poznan and a little bit after the 1st and 3rd goals it was genuinely a quiet atmosphere. Like no excitement, fans weren't really into it except for their pathetic attempt at a ultra section behind one of the goals. At least 30% of the ground was Americans / well spoken students / tourist fans who were there for a day out, not really invested in the game at all. Guy sat next to me was a Rotherham fan, family in front of me were Leeds fans who's little boy just decided to support Man City. It's like Man City are the final boss in a game to make football a soulless, corporate, americanised, sanitised walk over. Awful.
  4. Man City have more money and better lawyers than both UEFA and the PL. They hired a legal "dream team" and they will tie all investigations in knots for at least the next decade.
  5. I think if they win the treble he might move on. He has another open chequebook waiting for him at PSG.
  6. Russia invests in new hypersonic weapons Half of the money disappears through corruption Russia Pretend they have a hypersonic weapon When needed it doesn't work/ failed Someone falls out a window Rinse and repeat for the majority of Russian tech.
  7. Chelsea offered him a 6 year contract worth a guaranteed 30 million pounds. Chelsea at the time were thought of as being in the top 3/4. We were struggling with a work experience manager. He's not a Villa fan, he might not "make it", that money will change him and his families futures for ever. Whoever advised him was correct at the time to do so, not for Villa but for him. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  8. Not sure if anyone feels the same. But since the whole 2021 Abu Dhabi stuff I haven't watched a single race.
  9. Most clubs except for the Sky 6 are a couple of bad transfer windows away from being where Leicester are.
  10. Fair point, but a lot of people were saying the same about Palace and Roy Hodgson. They are desperate, and if he somehow keeps them up then its worth every penny.
  11. I might be incorrect but isn't there a double jeopardy rule for Goalkeepers? If its a pen there's no red card etc.
  12. Its crept up. Obviously 800/850 is not the same as it was 15/20 years ago. But the club have basically doubled the cost of many season tickets in the last few years and there is a point I just can't do it anymore. At the moment thats around 800/850. Everyones circumstances are different, but that's where im at financially.
  13. I've always said £800/£850 is my limit so I have a season or 2 left realistically. Been a season ticket holder for 20 years but the outlay is now starting to affect my kids, their activities and holidays. It's not fair on them.
  14. The wealth of Newcastle and City is astonishing with government level control and ownership of their own internal banking structures. These players will be HUGELY incentivised with incredible financial bonuses in Saudi bank accounts which are untracked by the PL / FFP etc. That's where the extra running and hard work comes in.
  15. They own their own banking structure in Abu Dhabi. The players (or their families) will almost certainly be being paid into unregulated, untrackable bank accounts away from the PL and FFP. Probably explains why Jack Grealishs dad went from long life Villa fan to spouting around with a Man City shirt in a matter of 10 days.
  16. Or wait 12 months and get Harry Kane for free. Oshimen will cost 150 million
  17. Dont think Man United is the "guarantee" of trophies he wants. He is an elite forward and he will be moving to win trophies. He'll play out his contract and go to Bayern or Madrid on a free imo. (I can't see either paying this summer what Levy will demand) It's widely reported Benzama will stay for another season, so Kane can replace him when he moves on.
  18. Don Unai has took underperforming players and enhanced them to the peak of their abilities. Imagine if he can do this with Coutinho, don't write him off yet,

    Chelsea

What's scary is they've spent £600 million and their first team is WORSE than last season.
  20. Can't necessarily blame the manager. The team and recruitment are simply not good enough.
  21. Probably cash in on him. He will want to leave to win trophies but where can he go? Arsenal No, Chelsea more of a mess than Spurs, United won't be anywhere near CL or PL trophies for a while, Liverpool maybe? But they won't want to spend massive. City have Haaland, He'd need to take a paycut to join either of the Spanish teams, PSG won't win the CL. Bayern need a striker maybe?
  22. Targeting 2pm UK time for launch today. Everyday Astronaut is a really good watch, quite technical but in a simple way. He actually going to Space on the "Dear Moon" mission in a couple of years.
  23. This is great news for us. If they are worrying about managers they arent looking at cohesive transfer targets. Don Unai has already identified the profile and players he wants and we will be working towards bringing those in.
  24. Probably safe to say everyone apart from the "Sky 6" are only 2 bad transfer windows away from being in the relegation battle. We are no different. If we were to lose 4/5 of our premier players (Watkins, Mcginn, luiz, Mings, Kamara) and replace them with duds then we would be down there.
